Bella went straight to see Tom and found him in the college laboratory. He was dissecting a rabbit, another task in their joint project. Impressed by his concentration and silence, Bella approached him quietly.
“Tom, I brought a cup of coffee for you.”
Tom turned and smiled at her, “Have you finished your business?”
Bella fell into silence. She was not a good liar and she couldn’t tell Tom about things between her and James. She hoped it could be finished as soon as possible. But who really knew when all this would come to an end?
