Tom shook his head. “I don’t know.”
Tony sighed and apologised for bothering him.
Watching Tony walk away, Tom turned closed the door and went back into thelab.
Bella was standing nervously in the bathroom, quiet as a mouse.
Tom knocked gently on the door of the bathroom.
“Bella, you can come out. He’s gone.”
Hearing that, Bella was very relieved. She walked out slowly, still warythat James might be around.
“I was so worried…” Bella murmured.
Tom was about to try and comfort her when suddenly they heard a loud noisecoming from the door to the lab.
Boom! Someone was trying to kick down the door!
Bella and Tom looked anxiously at each other. Then they heard James’ voice.“Bella Green! I know you are in there! Come out!”
