Chapter Three “Damage report, now!” The captain’s words punched through the chaos. Aden hit computer keys in rapid succession, his left hand still clinging to the edge of his console. His muscles continued to vibrate, caught in the throes of the previous blast. The acrid smell of burnt metal flowed through the bridge, though nothing smoldered in their immediate vicinity. The air ducts were pulling the smoke from the section above them, which had been hit during the altercation.
