I was starstruck as I looked at my very first siren, not to mention the absolute beauty of my mate. Her white hair was now dripping wet over her chest. An intricate silver crown was on top of her head, a teardrop pendant holding an opal dangled over her forehead.
Scattered across her chest were purple and blue shimmering scales. The scales delicately framed and covered her round breasts, leaving little to the imagination as they stopped just short of her side, leaving some of the breast’s soft skin exposed.
The rest of her upper body and arms were completely bare, leaving Alistair a complete mess in my head. The scales picked back up at her hips, her delicious legs having turned into a long, thick tail. Her tail was made of the same colored scales, almost iridescent in color and texture. Her tail slapped the water powerfully and somehow I was even more turned on then when she had legs.
“Woah.” Was all I could manage to say. She giggled and blushed, looking down at herself.
“It’s like you’ve never seen a siren before.” She teased.
“No, I’ve never seen someone so beautiful before.” I told her. She looked up at me then with a bashful smile.
“I’ll see you soon, Knox.” She said, waving her fingers at me.
“I’m going to hold you to that, princess.” I said, blowing a kiss towards my mate. She shook her head at me but her gorgeous smile never left her face.
She turned her back to me and dove under the water, her scale covered booty stuck out of the water as her tail seemed to wave goodbye. I stood on the beach in the cove until I could no longer see her movements.
I sighed in blissful peace. I knew that I could lose her at any moment, but I refused to live in fear. Right now I had the opportunity to keep her close to me and show her what true love and true happiness was like. I was determined to beat out her siren mate and show her that she’s meant to spend the rest of her life with me.
Back at the packhouse, I rounded up my Beta and Gamma to tell them the new plan.
“A siren? Yeah right, they don’t exist.” Clay rolled his eyes at me.
“Dude, I saw her turn into a fish.” I said plainly.
“She actually grew a tail?” Clay asked with wide eyes.
“Yes, she grew a tail. And, for the record, no one is allowed to look at her when she does that.” I glared at my second and third in command, not wanting to imagine any male looking at my mate when she’s that exposed. Clay and Dover exchanged glances but said nothing.
“Does she have a name?” Dover asked.
“Navy.” I replied.
“So, what’s going to happen next?” Clay asked.
“She’s going home to make arrangements and then she’s going to come stay with us for a while. I’m not sure how long. I have to take it one day at a time with her.” I explained.
“At least she’s giving it a chance.” Dover said. I could tell that he was excited to finally have a Luna in the house.
“There’s one more thing,” I began,
“She doesn’t know I’m the Alpha.”
“Uh….don’t you think she’s going to figure that one out sooner rather than later?” Clay smirked.
“I’m not hiding it from her, it just didn’t come up and I have a feeling that delivering life altering news is better done in small, bite size chunks for her. I’ll tell her when she comes back. Just, take it easy on her, okay?” I sighed.
“What about the pack? Are you going to tell them?” Dover asked.
“Right now, they don’t need to know anything. I don’t want to go around telling everyone that sirens are real and risk my mate's safety and privacy when she’s only just arrived.” I said. Dover and Clay nodded in agreement.
“You got it boss.”
“What about Dad?” Clay asked.
“He’s going to get on board or get out.” I grumbled. Clay knew better than to argue.
“I do have a favor to ask. I was thinking that your mates could come up and help prepare the Luna quarters for her.” I said. Clay and Dover nodded, their expression going blank as they mindlinked their mates.
A few minutes later Clay’s mate Julia and Dover’s mate Natasha met us on the top floor of the packhouse. The fifth floor of the packhouse was split into two quarters, one for the Luna and one for the Alpha. In partnerships like my parents whose relationship was strictly business, the Alpha and Luna generally didn’t share a room. But, for true mates, it was impossible to keep them apart and they, traditionally, share the Alpha wing.
“I’ll send up my housemaiden and have her choose a lady for the Luna. They’ll help you get whatever you need to prepare her room. Here’s my credit card, spare no expense.” I told Julia and Natasha, handing over my Visa.
“You’re going to regret that.” Clay chuckled.
“I suspect she’s going to need some clothing, too.” I ignored Clay and continued to address the girls.
“Ooh, that’s a mistake.” Dover added. I rolled my eyes at the pair of them.
“She’s going to be here in a few days, I’m not sure exactly when, so best to have it prepared as soon as possible.” Julia and Natasha nodded,
“You got it, Alpha.” The ladies excitedly agreed to my task. I left them alone in the Luna quarters to make a plan and I retired to my bedroom.
