The duke’s lips were gentle at first, barely teasing her lips.  She stood stiffly, fighting the wave of attraction as she tried to bring to mind all the reasons why she should not allow this.  Somehow though, she just could not conjure up the terrible memories from the bowels of the Keep.  Her brain was firmly anchored on the Duke.  She saw only his face now, overshadowing all of the haunting memories of the past.  His gentle hands kneaded the back of her neck, even as his mouth demanded more.  And with a sigh, she relented, relaxing against him, and even daring to kiss him back.  As her lips moved timidly against his, he became more insistent.  The hand around her waist pressed her firmly against his hard body, even as his tongue nudged her lips apart, demanding access.  She felt confuse
