Prologue
In a mansion surrounded by trees deep in the woods laid a man deep underground the magnificent mansion. In a glass coffin, the man who had not breathed in hundreds of years took a deep breath. His long eyelashes fluttered before opening. At that moment, the vampires around the world stopped moving. Those who were asleep woke up. Those who were walking stopped. those who were driving paused, and those who were having s*x froze. They all sensed him, the apex, the creator was awake. Some felt joy, some felt anger, some felt disdain, but all had no choice but to revered him in the end. Silently, the man pressed his hand against the glass top of his coffin and gently pushed it open. He could hear the hurried footsteps rushing towards his location. His eyes flickered at the sealed coffin beside his as he slowly got out of the coffin. As his feet touched the cold marble floor, he made his way over to the coffin, touching the top in a loving manner. His long blonde hair draped over his shoulder as a soft smile graced his lips. As he stood there, touching the coffin, the door opened, and the vampires that were in the mansion all walked in and knelt respectfully. Paying them no mind, the man moved his hand and broke the seal of the coffin, raising the top to see the contents inside. Nothing but a pile of ashes was left in the coffin. So it was true. His wife was reborn. The man stood there and watched the ashes with glee. Good things happen to those who waited, and God knows how long he waited. 'Thunk' The man closed the coffin and turned to face the awaiting crowd. "We greet your majesty, the king Alucard!" When the kneeling vampires saw their king finally paying attention to them, they loudly greeted him. "Mhm," his voice came out raspy as his throat and mouth were dry. "What year is it?" "Replying to your majesty, it is the year 1999." A man dressed in a butler's uniform answered. Alucard recognized him instantly. He was his loyal retainer. "Bernard," Alucard called out to the butler, who respectfully answered with a yes sir. "I am thirsty." "I have prepared a meal for you, sir." Alucard nodded lightly at Bernard, who got to his feet quickly and instructed a few vampires to the forefront. Alucard's eyes flickered at the blood bags they carried in a small cooler. His lips curled as his gaze met Bernard's, who simply nodded in confirmation. In a good mood, Alucard turned and walked toward the throne inside the underground chamber to sit before he beckoned the vampires holding the blood to come to him. Without instructions, the vampires quickly empty a blood bag into a glass for Alucard. Taking the glass, Alucard brought it to his lips, and he drank. As the taste of the blood filled his mouth, the dryness in his throat and mouth subsided. After emptying the contents into his stomach, he simply held the cup out to be filled again. After repeating it eight times, Alucard was somewhat satisfied. With his hunger alliveated, Alucard focused on Bernard, who was patiently standing with his head bowed in front of the group of vampires. "Everyone else retreat," Alucard ordered the other vampires before speaking to Bernard. "Bernard, come here and tell me all that I've missed these past centuries.' "Yes, your highness,"Bernard answered respectfully and moved closer. Meanwhile, the other cleared out as instructed. When it was just the two of them remaining in the chambers, Bernard proceeded to supplement Alucard with information on the past and present. When he was done, Alucard nodded. Currently, the vampires were doing a good job at hiding in plain sight. With all the hospitals around the world to supply them with a regular supply of blood. However, in his absence, he gave way to old vampires who wanted to seek more power. The vampires were split into fractions. Each fraction kept each other in check, leaving it at a stand still. Alucard would have to reform himself so he could properly adapt to the changing times. Standing up, Alucard glanced at Bernard. "Let us go, I have much to learn."Alucard hummed as he walked out the chambers with Bernard following behind him respectfully. "Your Highness, about Rosalind...." Bernard began, but Alucard cut him off with a wave of his hand. "Rose is on her way here. that I already know." Alucard told Bernard. "Then may I ask, you've awoken because her highness is back?" Bernard asked tentatively. Alucard gave Bernard a pointed look. "If you know, why bother asking?" Alucard gently chastised him. "Because I wanted to confirm with you, your highness. " Bernard sheepishly replied. Alucard didn't say anything again. Only rolling his eyes at Bernard. It was hard to believe that the ruthless cold-blooded vampire king turned into a different man after meeting his wife. They all thought he would revert back to his cold-blooded self or at least become a monster. But to their surprise, the queen's influence was greater than anticipated. He was still the same, but he also carried the belief that his wife would be born again into this world. Which caused them to speculate that it was this that kept the king the way he was when the queen was alive. When he went to sleep, he told them he would only awake when she was born again. They honestly thought that would never happen. However, they were proven wrong as Alucard was awake. Bernard couldn't help but feel excited. "When will we see her?" Bernard asked Alucard. "When I'm done reforming to the societal norms." Alucard answered. "Then are we raising her?" Bernard questioned, and Alucard's lips twitched before he gave Bernard a disgusted look. "Why the f**k will I raise my wife? I'm not a pervert! " Alucard glared at Bernard. Bernard shifted his guilty gaze to the floor as he softly apologized. "If her family circumstances are ideal she will be raised in the household she was born in. She will be given a normal childhood and normal life. If she wishes for life to continue to be 'normal' I will allow it." Alucard went on to tell Bernard. "But your Highness, she the one you been waiting on for centuries. To just not be involved, is that what you want?" Bernard imagined Alucard would stake his claim immediately, citing that the queen was his alone. "I do not own her, I never owned her." Alucard shook his head bitterly. "It was because I was overbearing she chose to leave why would I repeat the same mistakes." "You were never over bearing your highness! " Bernard hurriedly told Alucard, who then gave him a pointed look. "Back then, there was a lot of things I wished I did differently. Maybe if I did, she would have stayed with me. She would have chosen me." Alucard said. "Your highness...." Bernard hesitated, not knowing what to say to comfort his king. "Don't assume because she's reborn she'll remember her past life. That's not how it works. Just because I love her doesn't mean I should shape her into whatever I want. Then it would be fake. And I don't want that, I want her to choose me on her own without influence." Alucard sighed, "Enough about that, let's get moving. I have a lot of things to prepare." "Yes, your highness."Bernard obediently dropped the subject and turned to telling Alucard about the different forms of business they have outside. Meanwhile, in a hospital room, a young woman and man lovingly look at two babies in swaddling clothes in a basinet. "They're so beautiful, my little Adelaide and Adrian." The young man cautiously moved his index finger to touch the twins' cheeks. The young woman smiled, but deep inside, she felt dishamonous. 'Was she really going to be a good mother?' she wondered as she watched her husband interact with the babies.
