the slight warmth pouring out from behind the curtains and onto her back made her shiver so slightly before peeling her eyes open.
she groans as her head reminds her of yesterday's episode. the sickness she tried to hide all day just keep her stakes high for earning the promotion she has been dying for.
her long slender fingers run through her entangled curls, hissing at herself when her fingers pull her hair a little too hard.
she gets up from the bed as she notices the odd unfamiliar furniture in the room, not to mention the odd color her room suddenly has and the large glass window practically exposing the entire room to a beautiful garden hiding behind the glass.
her eyes widen as she marvels the flowers that almost look unnatural and too healthy to be actual garden flowers.
Aria mindlessly shoves her feet off the bed and walks towards the glass, feeling her soul walk through the glass and embraces the garden, sitting on the glass bench by a rose bush with a small pond close to its feet as countless butterflies and birds fly around, going about their daily lives.
"where the heck am I?" Aria mummers to herself as she barely takes her eyes off the garden.
"you, my friend, are in the Devon Mansion." a voice says from behind her, getting her to instantly turn with a near jolt of her heart.
her eyes scan the room until they fall on a man sitting on a chair in the opposite way, leaning against the backrest with his hands crossed together and resting on the edges.
Aria raises her brows as she clears her throat and glances around herself, noticing the expensive furniture, small minimal but pricy decor and countless paintings in the room.
the bed itself spoke volumes and she could tell he wasn't lying. he infact had a familiar face but she couldn't tell who exactly it was.
"The Devon Mansion? belonging to Mr Dean Devon?" she asks as she stares at him a moment longer, marveling how chiseled his jawline is underneath the very thin beard growing on his jaw.
his brown hair remains unkempt and wild, reaching out to all places as his clothes seem extremely wrinkled and untamed just like his shorts.
it was clear he has just woken up.
"The Devon brothers, of which Dean is one of them, yes. but we all own this mansion." the man says as he slightly rolls his eyes and presses his lips together as his eyes slowly examine her. "you clearly can't be Dean's, he's not the kind to bring one night stands. did you come with Caspian?"
Aria furrows her brows and slowly drops her gaze down to where he is staring at,, only to feel her face turn a boiling red when she hardly noticed she isn't fully dressed.
the shirt she has on is long enough to cover the sensitive parts, but her thighs do not show her kindness despite the shirt trying desperately to help.
she quickly rushes to the bed and sits down, grabbing one of the pillows and covering her thighs with it.
"did you really not notice this whole time?" the man asks as Aria clears her throat and glances around herself.
"... no, it's a bad habit of mine when I'm alone." Aria explains, getting the man to grin out as he leans his chin on his hands.
"Caspian must have liked you. I'd also have gotten to you if he didn't." he sighs out and runs a hand through his unkempt hair.
"who on earth is Caspian?" Aria asks with furrowed brows as she clenches the blankets. "who are you and where am I?"
the man frowns a little bit as he feels slightly annoyed at the woman who thinks she can play innocent in a mansion she obviously didn't just walk into.
though he couldn't tell if she was pretending to be innocent or not. but he couldn't shake the feeling of wanting to play along to her little play of pretend.
"I find you extremely appealing." he says as he gets up from the seat and smirks as he walks over to her while pulling off his shirt, exposing the tight gripped muscles hiding underneath, getting her to gasp as panic fills her body. "trying to pretend to be so innocent. I would have believed you weren't with Caspian last night, but it's hard to when you're in here, in our mansion. unless it's a plot to win me over, if that's the case, it really works."
his voice sends shivers down her spine as he forcefully pins her back to the bed when she tries to shove him away from her and get away as far as possible.
her eyes remain glued to his as she can feel her heart begin to skip countless beats from the confusion and pressure of the painfully eye-catching man trying to seduce her.
it isn't as though she wakes up to an attractive man trying to force her into things she wouldn't normally do on any day.
but the pressure of it feels too surreal.
"I'm not lying, I don't know where I really am. I fell sick... I don't know if at home or at work and I wakeup here-."
"lying at this point is almost painful to listen to. if you weren't so eye-pleasing, I wouldn't have even bothered to listen to you trying to taste two different brothers from the same mansion. but I'm not surprised, women kiss the floor we walk on and could get with all of us if we allowed it." the man chuckles as he slowly leans down to her face as she stares at him in horror.
the feeling of admiration for the handsome man suddenly turns sour as she realizes what he is referring her to as.
she quickly shoves her feet underneath the bed and pulls herself from right under him with her legs, sliding right under his legs, taking him by surprise as she finally frees herself from him.
"I don't care if you are one of the Devon's, but I will call the police." Aria hisses as she glances around for her phone. "who the hell is Caspian and who the freak are you?"
The man pauses as he notices she is being serious, she has no clue of who he or his brother was, which almost came as a shock to him.
either that or she was just good at pretending that he was believing it.
"I'm confused." he sighs as he sits on the bed and watches as she destroys the bed in search of her phone. "you don't want to have s*x with me?"
"Who the hell are you!? of course not!" Aria glances at him with a glare as he raises his brow in astonishment.
"Then why are you here? clearly you want something." he says with a heavy sigh as his eyes can't help but keep fixed on her thighs.
Aria finally finds her skirt deep within the blanket and pulls it on in an instant as her heart thuds against her chest.
she yanks the blanket off of the bed and examines the beddings underneath, shooting her eyes at every spot of the pure white sheets for any evidence when she doesn't find any.
"did you change the sheets?" She asks as she points to the bed. "or did Caspian change them? what did you do to me? or what did Caspian do to me?"
the man simply shrugs shoulders, getting even more confused as he suddenly begins to think Dean might have actually brought her home, since his name is the only one she knows.
but Dean is so unreactive to women... there is no way he was the man she spent the night with...
but he was late yesterday.... was it because of her?
