56. Alone and Lonely

Sanjay walked hastily to his boss's study. He can see Devdas Star Tailes sitting arrogantly behind the desk, one elbow resting on the table and a finger touching the corner of his lips. "Sir, I have come to report, sir!" exclaimed Sanjay frantically.

"What is wrong?" Devdas replied without turning to Sanjay. His eyes were fixed on the daylight view of ND City, which was plastered on the glass wall of the room.

"Miss Delisha Lee Andrews, sir ..." said Sanjay hanging. He hesitated to continue. Devdas stared calmly. "What's wrong with my Chandni?" he asked.

"He ... went to Rahul Mukherjee and now all Star Corp mining permits are suspended."

"What??"

"Sir, I am afraid that Miss Delisha is deliberately doing it against you, sir ... Miss Delisha ... wants to destroy Star Corp."

Devdas leaned back into the chair with his forehead deeply linked. For a moment he was silent then sighed weakly. "Let it be! We still have mines in other countries," said Devdas.

"Sir ...!" exclaimed Sanjay anxiously.

"What else?"

"You have given up Khan's Enterprise, now a mine in India. Sir, the loss of Star Corp is enormous. If you do not act, this will be the beginning of Star Corp.'s downfall. I am just warning you, sir, without Star Corp how would you rule the world?"

Sanjay’s words hit Devdas in mind. Luxury, wealth, and all pleasures including sins are all acquired through power in Star Corp. If Star Corp was destroyed, wouldn't he become a useless being, not only banished from nirvana but also left out of the world. His life, everything, was in danger of being destroyed.

With the company on the verge of bankruptcy, Chandni is still trying her best to fight Star Corp, not coming to him for help. The woman turned out to be very tough in facing all problems and fearless. Maybe she never really needed me, Devdas thought.

Devdas looked back at the clear sky outside through the glass wall, this time with a sharp gaze. He waved his hand at Sanjay. "Leave it," said Devdas coldly.

Sanjay is flabbergasted. But seeing Devdas attitude, he could do nothing more to change his boss's mind. The woman named Delisha left Devdas unable to behave. "Yes sir!" exclaimed Sanjay with a respectful bow and withdrew from Devdas's presence.

Devdas returned alone in his room and felt very lonely.

Two weeks have passed since Imdad's death.

After knowing Rani's true status, Delisha felt a strong bond with Rani. Playing and joking with the child becomes a fun routine. Helps get rid of the burdens that crush her. Delisha responded sarcastically. It's funny, how love cathe be a power to change the world for the better, but also the cause of murder, loss of human life.

Delisha didn't find Maya during that time. The ghost disappeared without a word. Maybe Maya has found a handsome man to have fun with, even though she needs Maya's help to spy on people like the Mukherjee Family. However, Delisha realized that she could not completely rely on a creature like Maya. After all, Maya was afraid to enter the Golden Star Hotel alone and she couldn't do any martial arts.

Delisha is in a new space. The room Imdad used during his lifetime as CEO of Xin India. The nameplate on the table was replaced with a new one, made of clear crystal written with Delisha Lee Andrews - CEO at the bottom of her name.

The decision to use the CEO's room was because Delisha often received guests. Not for visiting, but to protest against her policies which are considered immature and hasty. The board of directors and other shareholders often criticized her, but after hearing her threats, they were silent. Yes, Delisha controls people by using her ability to investigate the person's character. Their vices and secrets serve as a weapon against those who oppose them. Indirectly, Delisha made friends and added to the list of people who hated her.

Delisha leaned back in the swivel chair and stared intently at the needles arranged neatly on the table. While in the spirit state, she grasped the black substance Nigrum Mortem and when she returned to her body, it was in her hands. Delisha thought that if she could change dimensions, then she could carry an item and move it to another dimension.

Like magicians, they can hide stuff using the speed of their hands, others use the gimmicks with mirrors or a dark background around them. In that situation, she would use her dimensional switching ability to hide the weapon. Unfortunately, the bigger the object that has to be moved, the more power she has to use. The needles would be ideal weapons to hide in other dimensions because of their small size.

The needles in front of her were polished with gold, silver, and deadly poison. She grasped a needle and closed her eyes to concentrate as if she had opened a storage box in her subconscious. After a few seconds, she opened her eyes and the needle in her grip disappeared.

"Ah, why didn't I use this ability long ago?" muttered Delisha alone. She began to focus for a few seconds, the needles he had removed appearing as easy as snapping fingers. "Very nice!" She exclaimed encouraging herself.

Delisha grasped several needle blades at once and removed them in an instant. The other needles followed into another dimension. Delisha folded the used needle purse and cleaned the table surface. She then called Vijay. Vijay is now her personal assistant. "Mr. Vijay, accompany me outside."

Vijay thought that he was going to accompany the new boss to a special place, but they went to his apartment in Parnapuri. Vijay is disappointed. "Why are we here, Miss Delisha?"

"There's someone I want to see."

Vijay's forehead lifted at this, but he followed Delisha's steps. They come to Nandita's apartment, the woman who had harassed Vijay with black magic. After the incident, Nandita was often in a trance and wandering the streets, sometimes without clothes on. Now she is calmer because she is undergoing mental medicine. She shut herself in the house and every day one of her relatives would visit to take care of the woman and clean her apartment.

Seeing the woman's latest condition, Vijay and Delisha felt pity. The woman was thin and white, weak and hugging her knees in the corner of the room. She looked terrified at Delisha and Vijay. "Vijay, wait outside!" exclaimed Delisha and the man obeyed by a guard at the front door

Delisha crouched down in front of Nandita. "Where's your genie?" She asked.

Nandita just moaned and huddled even deeper. A dark black figure with a body covered in coarse hair and a red-eyed fanged muzzle leaped over to Delisha's side. The creature greeted her with a soft growl.

"I want you to work for me. A gold coin every time you do your job."

The creature only sounded cheerful growl.

"Do you agree? Nod when you agree!"

The creature nodded.

"Do you have a name?" asked Delisha. The creature looked at her in surprise with his head tilted.

"All right, then I'll call you Akshay. From now on your name is Akshay!"

Suddenly the black-green creature's body spun very fast causing strong winds and forming black smoke, making Delisha jerk backward while Nandita screamed hysterically and crawled to another corner.

Delisha was stunned in amazement when the wind stopped and the black smoke disappeared. Akshay’s originally creepy figure has now transformed into a young man with jet black skin with red eyes and wearing only a dirty cloth covering his crotch. "What the hell …."

Akshay's new form saluted by resting on one knee in front of Delisha. "Thank you, madam, for giving me a name. Having a name enhances my rank, frees me from my ugly primeval form."

Delisha just closed her mouth, speechless.

The genie named Akshay bowed deeply. "From now on, Miss is my master. I will be a loyal follower of Miss."

Delisha's heart was pounding with surprise. "Great! Now you come with me. I have a task for you!" She said excitedly.

Akshay doesn't move from his position either. He glanced sadly at Nandita who was cowering in fear in the corner of the room.

"Why? What's with Nandita?"

Akshay lowered his head full of regret and said softly, "She ... is pregnant ... my child ..."

Delisha's eyes were so wide they almost popped out of her eyeballs.

While in the car leaving the Parnapuri area, Delisha muttered to herself, "Why is the business of other realm beings as complicated as human affairs?" She massages her temples. The veins of her forehead were twitching. She sits in the passenger seat, while Vijay sits behind the wheel of the SUV. Hearing the woman speak to herself, Vijay was not surprised anymore.

After visiting Nandita, Delisha did not have the heart to see her condition so she decided to hire special nurses and servants to take care of Nandita. Vijay, of course doesn't know she did that because of Akshay's request. The male genie apparently felt responsible for his future child.

"Weird, weird!" said Delisha.

Akshay who sat in the back seat was silent.
