Nothing bothered Devdas Star Tailes, except for his failure to kill Imdad Hussain. All-day long, his thin face was cold with a hardened jaw and was not interested in listening to his assistant's reports on business and schedules. To reduce his emotions, he chose to have fun in the way his social circle would normally do, partying hard until he lost consciousness accompanied by all the heady things. s*x, drink, addiction, and of course, music. It was just getting into the afternoon, Devdas was already in a private hall on the 50th Floor of the Golden Star Hotel. The huge pillars and walls of the room were draped with red and gold satin drapes. Cots with fluffy pillows, dozens of men and women without clothes enjoying making out, dancing, and touching each other. In the dimness and smog, it smells sweet that momentarily makes a headache, but over time creates a sense of joy. The sound of Mediterranean music with a fast beat accompanies the movements of an erotic belly dancer wearing a coli and red satin skirt. The sound of metal knick-knacks worn by the dancer is like tickling sensitive points in the body.
"Sir!" greeted several men and women when they saw Devdas entering the room. They bowed their bodies to salute him. The men wore only a thin sheet of cloth to cover their s****l organs, the rest was without a top, showing broad chest and ripe breasts covered with ethnic necklaces.
Devdas passed them without paying the slightest attention. He headed for the throne, which was a long chair made of gold with a large back so that he could lie down on it. He sat down and accepted the red drink his waiter offered him. Several naked women gathered around and their hands touched his body, trying to open his clothes.
"Sir, let us serve you, sir ..." The women begged him and their bodies crawled with their hips twisting begging to be touched.
Devdas' sharp eyes glanced at the women. They are all beautiful and young. But their faces are very easy to forget, beautiful without impression. When the women began to open his pants, he did not budge. He let them revere his towering might and swallow it whole in their mouths in turn. Their mouths are warm and wet, which is delicious, but not memorable.
Devdas felt almost nothing in the touch of the women. His sharp eyes shone far, far away through time and space. He imagined a woman who, although 258 years had passed, he had not forgotten a single part of her. For 200 years is the time it has taken since he was kicked from the floor of heaven to his arrival to earth and 58 years is the time he has lived as Devdas Star Tailes on earth. Too bad in the past life that woman was never his. Chandni was only created to belong to Rajputana Udai Singh. But in this life, he would change it.

India, the Year 1760.
*
India was divided into small kingdoms that were hostile and at war with each other. This made it easier for nations such as Spain, the Netherlands, and England, who had originally come to India for trade affairs, succeeded in occupying important places, starting from the southern coast of India which then expanded until finally, the British succeeded in controlling all of India.
Even so, Britain still allowed the establishment of small kingdoms headed by princes. Britain also installed a Governor-General in India as representative of the British Empire and its government.
It says at that time, there was a prince named Rajputana Udai Singh who was still young, but intelligent and dignified, making him respected by the common people and other royal officials, even the government and the British aristocracy. The competition for power between the princes made them prone to open and hidden conflicts such as setting traps or sending assassins and even through female intermediaries who became the prince's harem.
Like other princes, Rajputana, or as he was called Raj, also had a harem palace which contained dozens of women whom he could not even remember all of their names. Apart from harem women, Rajputana also had several legal wives who were married for political purposes between kingdoms. However, he often went to the harem palace because it was closer to his palace than the legal wife who was tens of kilometers from his residence. He would visit his wives if there happened to be a trip to the area where the wives lived.
Since Rajputana became king, he has focused more on the social and economic problems of society so that he often neglects his wives and harems. Besides the complicated rules for wives and harems, meetings with them were also very rare. Rajputana did not really care who served him in bed, they never even talked.
Rajputana was tired of facing royal problems, plus the ministers and advisors who were all older than him often pressed and forced their will on him. He stays alone in the Meeting Room. He let out a tired sigh and stared out the large, curved window at the top. He took off his turban crown and a royal robe decorated with various jewels and embroidery. Without a crown and robe, he only wore a cotton kurta (male robe) like a commoner.
The brightness of the day out there wasn't quite as bright as he felt at the time. He needs an outlet to release the pressure inside himself. He jumped out of the window and went furtively into the garden.
In the Palace Garden, there are many shady trees. He reminisced about his childhood as well as practicing horse riding, swordsmanship, and archery, he also climbed trees for fun. There is an old banyan tree with a very large trunk and lush leaves. Rajputana walked under that tree breathing the fresh air and feeling the breeze.
"Are you sure what you saw?" A girl's voice broke the calm. His voice was light and without the manners he was used to hearing. Rajputana turned left to right looking for the source of the sound.
"Don't lie to me, Old Man!" cursed the voice again. Rajputana looked up and he found the owner of the voice. A girl sits on a tree branch and looks up at something above it. Her long braided hair, no jewelry, yellow gangra coli she wore indicated that she was a lower-class maid in his court. Lower class servants do menial jobs such as washing, fetching water, taking care of livestock, cooking, and cleaning the yard or room after use. Rajputana rarely saw them.
"What are you doing up there, little girl?" scolds Raj. The girl gasped in surprise and turned to him. He thought the girl was a child because adult women would not climb trees. It turned out that the woman looked quite mature. He didn't recognize her, but seeing her face and the way she looked at him, Raj was amazed. She has lighter skin than most local women. Her eyes, although rounded with surprise, were bright and brown. The woman looked at him as if he was the first man she had ever seen. Researching and amazement.
The girl gasped, her grip on the tree branch faltered and she shrieked as her body fell. "Kyaaaa ...!"
Raj catches her and unexpectedly, had difficulty balancing. He collapsed to the ground with the girl's body on him. "You ... apparently, quite heavy," complained Raj. Having been told that her body is heavy, the girl does not move from above his body, instead, with her elbows resting on his chest, stares at him without blinking.
"Why? What's wrong?" Raj asked anxiously, thinking that maybe this girl recognized him and was afraid of him because under the rules lowly servants were not allowed to look at the face of a prince or king, let alone touch.
Those clear brown eyes flickered. "What are you?" asked the girl.
Raj got up first from his position and they both sat on the ground. "You do not know who I am?" asked Raj.
"No, that's why I want to know what you are," she replied.
What and who are two different things. "I am human, just like everyone else," said Raj.
The girl shook her head. "No, you are different," she said, "you shine like the sun."
What a parable, thought Raj. "What's your name, little girl?" he asked. Because the girl's body was tiny and her eyes sparkled like a child, he called her a little girl.
"Chandni, sir, my name is Chandni, and I'm not a little girl anymore, I'm a big girl and I should be married, but I haven't, because it's not easy for me to accept the presence of a man," she said, sounding like she was desperate to get married. At that time, women were married or made harems at a young age. Chandni, who is nearly 20 years old, is considered late in getting married.
"All right, Chandni, what were you doing upstairs? It looks like you were talking to someone," Raj investigated.
"Only birds, I talk to birds," replied Chandni, looking away because she didn't want to be caught lying. She could not say she was talking to an old grandfather while no one could see him because the old man was the guardian of the banyan tree.
"Bird?"
"Yes, birds, trees, flowers, wind, clouds, just like humans, they are part of this realm," she said as she stood up and her hands were stretched to and fro, pointing to the natural surroundings. "We have to talk to nature every now and then. Nature has given us a lot of benefits."
"Oh?" Raj's eyebrows rose. This was the first time he had heard a woman talk about nature. Usually, they discussed jewelry, silk satin, and grooming. He rose from the ground and patted his clothes to remove the dust.
Chandni covered her mouth then leaned her head against Raj's ear, whispering something to him. "The bird said, on the cliff outside the palace there was a band of robbers hiding. They were waiting for the royal party to pass by to rob them and kill Rajputana Udai Singh."
Raj is getting more and more curious about the female servant. He and several palace officials planned to go out of town tonight. He was worried that people would overrun them on their way. It's just that the reports from the reconnaissance soldiers have never been this accurate. Uniquely, he heard this from a servant who could not freely enter and exit the palace and get information from a ... bird? And this girl wasn't even aware of her surroundings. "Are you sure what the bird said?"
Chandni shakes her head. "I don't know, I can't go outside to check it myself," she said half irritably. She then examined the man in front of her. "But you look like you can go out. Who are you? Are you a soldier?"
"Would you believe me if I said I was the ruler of this place?" replied Raj.
The woman laughed. The two inner cheeks form a very cute deep curve. "I think all men want to be like Rajputana Udai Singh," she quipped, "rich, but stupid as donkeys."
Raj did not expect to hear such insults. "Why do you think of him like a donkey? If King Raj hears, he will punish you. He can sentence anyone to death. Aren't you afraid?"
"Hmm?" Chandni shrugged indifferently. "I'm not afraid of donkeys who can only spend their time and energy on women. Only stupid men do that. He doesn't even know his harem palace is a nest of snakes." She leaned against the tree trunk.
As the ruler of the place, Raj was very offended to hear this, but somehow he still tried to hold back. It was the first time he saw the girl. If he had, he was sure he would remember her. He approached the sassy girl. "You talk as if you know him. Have you met Rajputana Udai Singh?"
Chandni tilted her head and frowned in thought. "Hmm, never before," she muttered casually.
Rajputana Udai Singh extends his arms to support the tree trunk. He confined the woman. "Then I will make you know Rajputana Udai Singh," he said coldly.
"Hmm?" The girl looked at him amazed.
"I made you Rajputana's personal servant."
The girl laughed again. "No need. Why do I have to be the servant of a donkey?" she said derisively.
"As punishment," said Raj in a raised voice and glared at the girl, making the atmosphere between them tense.
Chandni now looks back at him nervously. "Who are you? Punish me on your own."
"I am Rajputana Udai Singh, a donkey."
In that instant, Chandni hopes that she has wings so she can fly away.
