26. Traitor

Delisha really didn't think something like that would happen. She will find Maya and scold the ghost at home later. She reached into her shoulder bag for her sunglasses. “I'm in a different business, Mr. Boney!” Delisha replied urgently. She put on a sunglasses and then tossed her hair gracefully. “Now, excuse me, I have some urgent work to do!” she said coldly and left Boney's encounter. The middle-aged man looked at her in amazement, then stepped away, shaking his head. Young people nowadays, only have a boss, an influential person, they already have an arrogant attitude. Delisha went to the side of Imdad Hussain, who was glaring at her. The affectionate look and friendly eyes did not appear on his face anymore. They were both silent and walked towards the elevator. Imdad is a step behind Delisha. They waited in front of the elevator door with several other people. The elevator doors opened, and after everyone in it had left Delisha stepped inside frantically thinking about the proper explanation to Imdad Hussain. Imdad spreads his arms to prevent others from getting into the elevator. Wielded by the sharp gaze of that tall, slender man, no one dared to move. Imdad got into the elevator and pressed the door closing button. The tense situation between them caused the temperature to drop dramatically. Delisha's hair stood on end. This time it wasn't because of a spirit, but because of a man nearby. Delisha just realized they were alone in the elevator. She panicked even more, but tried to compose herself. Imdad folded his arms over his chest and glared at her, making her legs tremble and leaning against the stainless elevator wall. “It seems I have misjudged you, Miss Marianne!” sneered Imdad. “Did Central Xin send you to become a double agent? Your abilities exceed my expectations. I didn't think your appearance could fool me.” The thought of this woman crawling between Devdas Star Tailes' legs and doing what the man told her to, made something in his chest heat. The ice will melt at once. “You are misunderstanding, Mr. Imdad,” Delisha said, turning her face away, avoid eye contact with the sunglasses. Now that she's using official notation on him, Imdad tries his best to contain his anger. He locked Delisha and punched the side of the elevator with all his might until the wall shook. Delisha was so astonished that her body was waving and the glasses she was wearing slipped off. She saw into Imdad Hussain's glaring eyes with fear. “Where did I misjudge, Marianne-ji? I guess it was obvious that this guy told you were on the order of Devdas Star Tailes,” he grunted. Delisha stuttered to explain, “At that moment I was a little drunk and I met Maya. That woman became Devdas Star Tailes' mistress. She urged me to help deal with her business.” Delisha's breath became limited. Sentences that short felt extremely hard to tell. Imdad grabbed Delisha's arm and waved her body. “Heh, so your acquaintance is Devdas's mistress? Being his couriers and befriending his paramour, you might as well be one of his mistresses, what a lowly!” he cussed. The pouch on Delisha's shoulder fell off and its contents were scattered on the floor. The man increased his grip even more and his teeth ground as he spoke, “It's true that people say, women are beautiful because they are adorned with secrets. That virtuous and pure look really suits a traitor like you!” Delisha's eyes were red and begin to soak. “Imdad, you hurt me ...” she sobbed. Imdad released his clutch violently causing Delisha's body hit the wall and then turned away from her. He stepped on Delisha's sunglasses as he walked, creating a crumbling sound. Delisha's heart was crushed to pieces. She shighed and started to gather her scattered luggage into her pouch, while Imdad pressed a dial for the elevator to go up. Imdad's hands rested on his chest. The palm of his right hand squeezed the bronze coins and occasionally played with it with his thumb. Imdad scolded himself for holding back in order to keep her chaste. But seeing the current situation, he regretted it a lot. He should have treated Marianne like any other woman, as he pleased without feeling. Staring at the woman's shoulder while picking up things on the floor, she looked pathetic. But towards a woman who loves to play with his feelings, he has no compassion. Even though the woman was crying blood, he would nevertheless take her to meet Khan's Enterprise CEO, Fairouz Khan. He wanted to see how that woman would express if she saw that one entrepreneur. Was she going to flop over and kissing like she'd never been kissed when they first met? Or would it be like crawling to worship Devdas' feet? Just imagining it made his blood boil. He is a man; it is natural for him to touch many women. However, if the woman who he claims belongs only to him is touched by someone else, especially if it is the woman who begs to be touched, he cannot accept it. His male instincts would not tolerate that. Imdad stepped out first when the elevator doors opened on the 20th Floor, leaving Delisha tidying up her appearance. The woman wiped the lingering tears and tried to carry out a sweet smile even though her heart aching. The female secretary welcomed Imdad and escorted him into the room of the CEO of Khan's Enterprise. “Ah, CEO Imdad Hussain, welcome!” Fairouz Khan greeted him while walking, stretching out his arms. The white man with a sharp nose and clear grey eyes shook Imdad's hand and hugged Imdad while patting him on the shoulder. He is a man of Pakistani-German descent, aged 40 years, looks dignified and friendly. “Nice to meet you again, Mr. Khan, thank you for taking the time for this meeting.” “My pleasure, Mr. Imdad, I have to thank you for coming here. My health condition does not allow me to be out for too long.” Delisha entered the room with her face down and eased her hair behind her ears, worried that her crying face could still be seen. “Oh, who is this?” asked Fairouz. Imdad turned to Delisha. “I introduce you, Mr. Fairouz, this is Marianne Webster, my personal assistant!” Imdad said as he grabbed Delisha's arm and took her elbow. He caught a glimpse of the amazed expression on Fairouz's face when he stared at the woman, his eyes enlarged and his mouth slightly open, almost smirking. Imdad doesn't felt like that. He felt that his saliva was terribly sour. Delisha looked up and looked closely at the man named Fairouz Khan. She gasped and didn't blink anymore, even forgot to breathe seeing the man. An extremely handsome adult man with deep eyes, capable of hypnotizing anyone who stares at him. The pouch on her arm fell off again and its contents poured on the floor. Imdad who was standing between them felt his whole body become embers of fire. With a grunt he declared, “Miss Marianne, this is Mr. Fairouz Khan, CEO of Khan's Enterprise ....” Delisha could hear it, and she knew it, but her eyes couldn't turn away from Mr. Fairouz Khan. Slowly she stepped in front of Fairouz Khan and her right hand raised, touching Fairouz's nose tip with her index finger. “Mr. Fairouz, what are you?” she muttered, causing Imdad and Fairouz to utter in amazement with lifted eyebrows. It was Delisha's first time seeing a human without being covered in any appearance or aura. Just like the mannequin or android in the form of a human being circulating in 2034. However, the androids of that era were not as perfect as this. A creature without air, without aura. Mr. Fairouz Khan is an inanimate object. *** Fairouz laughed awkwardly at the reaction of Imdad Hussain's personal assistant. “Ahahha, your assistant has an exceptional way of introducing herself,” he told Imdad. The corners of Imdad's lips were pulled forcibly. The young lady also reacted like that the first time he saw her. A unique meeting that occurs because the woman is reluctant to leave the room when it rains. He thought it was funny especially she looked innocent and pure. Now he felt it was just part of the play. Delisha wondered why the man was laughing at her. “I mean it, Mr. Fairuoz!” she said, crouching down to pick up items on the floor. The clothing bag she wears is a one-pocket style with magnetic buttons as the adhesive, so it doesn't close tightly. Delisha thought the bag was simple and practical for picking up and dropping things in, it turned out, making the contents scatter easily. She picks up, lighter, mouth fresheners, cell phones, earphones, pen and her crushed glasses. That thing has long been her close friend, she can't just leave it. The handle was broken, and there were a few crushed glass left. “Ahh!” Delisha let out a small shriek when the pointed glass scraped the tip of her index finger. A drop of blood came out from the wound. She was about to suck on it but someone took her hand and stuck her finger in the cold damp mouth. Delisha gasped. Fairouz Khan sucked on the tip of her bleeding finger and savored the taste with his eyes closed. It only lasted one second, Imdad Hussain immediately grabbed Fairouz Khan and gripped his suit collar. “What are you doing, Mr. Fairouz?” he growled, holding back his anger. Fairouz nervously removed Imdad's grip from him. “Indeed, if it's merely a drop of blood, it's a shame to waste it ....” “What?” Imdad is stunned. He took out a handkerchief and wiped Delisha's finger from the man's saliva. Disgusting. Did Fairouz go crazy or a fool after seeing his assistant? Or put it this way, he is the one that was driven insane by his assistant? The situation made him awry. Delisha paid no heed to Imdad who was cleaning her finger. She glanced at Fairouz with a frown. She recalled the news that in 2030 Khan's Enterprise allegedly conspired with terrorists to create biological weapons, creating a virus that leads to massive bleeding in humans. Blood will come out of the pores and eyes, like a leaky water sack. Humans die from blood loss. At that time Khan's was led by Mahalaksmi Dawson, Fairouz's 'eternal partner'. Fairouz Khan himself has disappeared since 2020. Fairouz has been declared missing after Khan's Enterprise was raided for producing a contaminated vaccine. In the raid, they found only a few suits and tens kilos of gold dust scattered in the area. “Mr. Fairouz ....” Delisha said anxiously, she couldn't even swallow her saliva, “You're a ... vampire?” Imdad and Fairouz froze at Delisha. Seeing Delisha's incredulous face, Imdad turned her gaze to Fairouz Khan. For a few moments, the three of them stood still, until finally Fairouz sighed embarrassed and rubbed his nape. “Ah, Miss Marianne, I just spontaneously saw you hurt. Don't we often suck on our pierced and bleeding fingers? Don't assume I'm a vampire just because of that, miss.” Imdad looked back at Delisha. “Mr. Fairouz also has a severe allergy to sunlight. Has that too made him a vampire, Marianne-ji?” He had no intention of intimidating Marianne, but vampires were mythical creatures, he couldn't figure out it. Such reactions make Delisha reluctant to explain her identity, especially towards Imdad Hussain. Since she had previously mentioned it, what could it be, she had to reveal Fairouz Khan's existence, think of it for the sake of the company. “Star Corp is pressuring you because they know your status. You made a poison ampule that could be exploited for secret weapon on their orders, right, Mr. Fairouz? The snake venom ampule used in the attempted assassination of CEO Imdad Hussain.” Fairouz fell silent. His tongue was out. So, CEO Imdad Hussain brought this woman to pressure him? It's a shame, even though her blood is so unique that he can't help himself, almost like the blood of The Lady he has ever tasted. The blood that binds him in an eternal agreement so that the vampire clan maintains a peaceful life order with humans. Imdad was silent, trying to assemble the puzzle pieces in front of him. Marianne who was sent from Central Xin with her secret, poison ampule, Aftab's grudge that turned out to be bigger than he thought, all led to Star Corp. And that means the main mastermind is Devdas Star Tailes. No wonder the man was indifferent to him the first time they met. Two years ago, it was during a world gold company conference, and he just served as CEO of Xin India. Profits come from the future, Delisha knows various events that will happen. She hopes her current actions can create a better future. She just didn't think the vampire was exist and was now standing in front of her. A dead creature, but live eternally. No wonder there wasn't any aura around them, but they had a distinct smell. The smell of fresh blood was mixed with the scent of roses. The smell of camphor came from the preservative in their coffins. “Do you have any proof I did that, miss? You can't include my involvement in things I never did.” Fairouz defended himself. Delisha almost made a sound, but Imdad interrupted. “We have proof, Mr. Fairouz!” he snarled. “We have the ampule, still intact and unused. We will go through your laboratory, and I am sure we will find traces of the same substance as the material used to make the ampule.” Fairouz turned around, put his hands in his trousers pockets and stared at the large oil painting on display behind his desk. His face painting was made in 1700. “It is true that Xin Corp is not easy to conquer. No wonder Star Corp is so eager to get rid of you, Mr. Imdad. You will be their toughest rival,” he announced curtly. He then turned again to face Imdad and his assistant, whose face, for some reason, had difficulty turning him away. Like the full moon in the night sky, for a dark being like himself it is light that is awaited. “I don't know how Devdas Star Tailes can find out my true condition,” he added, making Imdad tilt his head, “it's true, I'm a vampire, Mr. Imdad, bloodsucker, I consume blood, I kill for blood, that's what I did during centuries, and I am not alone. There are my clans and we hunt for blood. But, of course now we are not as brutal as we used to be, we are now adapting and socializing.“ Imdad was speechless at the confession. He looked at Delisha, whose face was now bright with sparkling eyes, as if she had received a surprise gift. “Wow, this is amazing. I thought meeting a vampire would just be my wildest fantasy. It turns out that you really do exist! Can s*x with a vampire make pregnant and give birth to an immortal? Is your s****l ability really extraordinary no tiredness and sucked blood at the climax increases the sensation of being together? And your blood, can it really give immortality?" Fairouz was somewhat surprised by the woman's curiosity. “Oh, I really like the myths that are circulating, miss, but to answer you, I suggest you experience it for yourself, so you don't get caught up in rumors….” To attract a a peculiar woman's attention is to make her curious. Imdad didn't please the way Fairouz answered. “Sorry, I guess that's out of the context of our meeting, Mr. Khan,” he said coldly. “You have liaised with Star Corp, I don't think there's any more reason for me to cooperate with you.” Imdad grabbed Delisha's arm and was about to walk away. “Eh, wait a minute!” exclaimed Delisha and Fairouz at the same time. Imdad's eyes widened at the two of them. Delisha tugged at the collar of Imdad's suit and traced her finger along the stitch line of the man's suit. “Mr. Imdad, this is our chance to free Khan's Enterprise from Star Corp.'s snare.” “You mean?” Imdad's eyebrow lifted one side. Delisha almost clung to his chest. The woman turned to Fairouz with a passionate glance. “We have something Khan's needs, so they don't depend on Star Corp anymore.” “Hmm, what is it?” "Gold!” “Hm?!” Fairouz looked eager to meet Delisha's gaze. Delisha stared into Imdad with sparkling eyes. “Mr. Fairouz needs an extensive amount of gold for his research, Mr. Imdad,” she said. “He was creating gold serum to be injected into the bodies of vampires, so they could do activities like normal humans. Making them immune to sunlight.” *** To be continue .... Please follow the author and story by add to library for more update. Follow my i********:: Sisilianovel Thanks❤❤❤
