Chapter 6: Marry Me

The lawyer also thought Zhang Xueying was really stupid. She should dare to say that in front of the police. She couldn’t never get away with the charge.
"Stupid! How stupid she was! Did she go crazy!"
Lu Zhentian shouted with wrath and threw the phone on the ground.
Lu Rongshen's face went pale, but his mind was occupied with another matter.
He leaned over and looked at the lawyer, "Are you sure my mom said that the woman was exactly the same as Lin Bingqing? Where is she now? I have to see her!".
Lu Rongshen was at unease since the body of Lin Bingqing remained unfound, which has been hovering over his mind constantly.
How come not a bit of her body be found after the explosion?
Lu Rongshen could not figure it out and was very uneasy.
Now he understood why Zhang Xueying did that. It was natural for anyone under that situation to react that way.
Lu Rongshen acquired the address of the hospital and decided to pay a visit with presents.
According to what the lawyer said, the injured woman stayed in the VIP room on the top floor of the Santa Maria private hospital.
This hospital is known for its exorbitant fees, which is totally acceptable for Gu Beicheng.
Standing downstairs in the hospital, Lu Rongshen feeling nervous and uneasy, finally stepped into the elevator after taking deep breaths.
Everything will come to light once he meets her himself.
However, Lu Rongshen was stopped by two bodyguards the moment he exited the elevator.
"Who are you, sir?"
"Hello, I'm Zhang Xueying's son. My mother injured Miss Xu by accident and I’m here to make official apologies to her."
Lu Rongshen put on an apologetic look on his face while peeping around.
It was very spacious and quiet here. There were two other men in suit standing outside a ward not far away from where he was.
Maybe that is where Xu Jingyi was located.
"Miss Xu is under the weather to see a visitor. Please go back."
Lu Rongshen hesitated and then handed the gift to the bodyguard, "Since Miss Xu is not available now, I will take a rain check then. Please transfer this gift to her. "
He did not stick around with the bodyguards. He turned back and retreated to the elevator where he took a sigh of relief.
Lu Rongshen and Lin Bingqing were engaged back in childhood. They were childhood sweethearts to each other to some degree. He knew it very well that Lin Bingqing had nothing to do with Gu Beicheng, which meant Gu Beicheng was not concerned with her at all.
Xu Jingyi just resembles Lin Bingqing in appearance. But it’s really a headache that his mother should do things like that!
Lu Rongshen rushed out of the hospital in a rage, brooding over how to handle the mess. He would never know that the bodyguard inform Gu Beicheng of his coming the minute he left.
When the night fell. Gu Beicheng showed up at the ward where Lin Bingqing stayed in, so obvious his presence was that Lin Bingqing felt at unease and woke from sleep.
"Mr.Gu?" Lin Bingqing was startled by his unexpected visit and asked in a weak tone.
She just had a bad dream in which she was driving off the cliff and got hurt so badly.
Gu Beicheng looked at her pale face, which reminded him of someone else unavoidably.
He cleared away all the thoughts and sat down at the bedside.
"As to your question you asked today, I got a new contract here." He said as he handed over a file to her.
Lin Bingqing ran over and took the file folder. She felt dizzy the whole afternoon when she slept but not very well though. Awaken from bad dreams several times, she was in dizziness and numbness right now.
Lin Bingqing was shocked at what she saw on the contract.
"What do you mean, Mr. Gu?" Lin Bingqing questioned in surprise.
The contract she had in hand now shared almost the same contents as the previous one she signed.
According to the previous one, she was required to give birth to the baby. Gu Beicheng would provide evidence related to the death of her parents as well as assistance to take back her legacies besides a large sum of compensation money.
However this document in her hands says that she have to marry Gu Beicheng instead of giving birth to the baby!
Lin Bingqing was in total shock.
"The contract has everything I intend to say."
Lin frowned, confused about his intentions on the contract.
"Mr.Gu, I...You said before that you don't want to get married."
Lin Bingqing thought over her dictation before speaking, addressing him with" Nin" ( a Chinese word to address someone with respect and equals "You" in English) as she was too nervous.
“I mean, if you want to get married, there will be a lot of people to choose from who match with your status.” she added." I don't understand why you chose me. "
“Good question.”Gu Beicheng replied in a calm tone.
He looked at Lin Bingqing, totally aware of her concerns and panic.
"I do have no interest in marriage, but I need a child to be an heir. That's why I found you before."
"It is just that... My being single at the age of 30 will bring lots of unwanted trouble."
Gu Beicheng spoke in a calm way that gave out an unavoidable aura and sound attractive as well as magnetic.
Lin Bingqing is a little confounded. Does that mean he is under the pressure of getting married?
“Yeah, just exactly like what you think.” He said bluntly as if he saw through her mind.
"I need someone to be by my side just to satisfy the wish of me getting married from my family and to avoid unnecessary speculations from the outside. "
"Why me?"
Lin Bingqing knows very well that he could never fall love with her.
The terms on the contract were like blessings from heaven so unexpected and lucrative, leaving her completely perplexed.
"I have a crush on you." Gu Beicheng said out loud, straight and open. Lin Bingqing, hearing this, was frozen to stillness.
"Of course, it is not like I am in love with you. But I do wish we can keep it going this way."

Gu Beicheng let out with confidence while Lin Bingqing was feeling riding on the roller coaster.
She's heard that a lot of rich people sign a premarital agreement, some of whom never get married. They just look for a senior secretary.
Lin Bingqing is pretty sure that’s what he wants too.
He chose her not because he liked her but that she happened to a suitable spouse for him.
Moreover, she needs his help which is a perfect excuse for him to come up with any term he prefers.
Lin Bingqing is at a loss about what to say as many things beyond her perception have happened to her ever since their meeting.
"Think it over carefully. Still I need an heir. You can deliver the baby after we get married. You have the right to raise him up yourself. "
