Sean paused on the doorstep blinking. He didn't need to feel that emotion toward Jen. She was a cop and could take care of herself. He shrugged away the feeling as irrational. “We didn't find anyone," Jen explained. Her glance to Sean said the cop wasn't really listening to her. Exasperation etched lines on her forehead. “And you're who?" She sighed and yanked open the identification she clutched in her long fingers. Her face reddened. “I've shown you this three times. I'm special Agent Jennifer O'Grady. Ken Westin was my ex-fiancé. His house had finally been released by the Prosecutor's Office and I wanted to clean out his things," Jen motioned to Sean. “Detective Gaudette is here helping me." The cop looked relieved to see Sean. “Detective Gaudette," Sean said and flashed his badge.
