I didn’t know how I managed to avoid seeing Paolo at school the next day. I stayed out of the cafeteria and the library. I didn’t have a free period, so I went straight from one classroom to the next. I let out a sigh of relief every time I didn't see him in the classrooms.
He kept sending me messages though, and I had to tell Anastacia that I am texting with my boyfriend because she’s getting curious why I kept checking on my phone. I didn’t answer any of his messages and eventually turned off my phone because he had already started calling me.
