Prince Liam Loses His Temper

1411 Words
While Amber was sleeping soundly in her comfortable bed, Prince Liam was sitting at the dinner table and violently wishing he was anywhere else. Situated directly across from him was  Cecilia and his mother Queen Annabeth while Cecilia's father was nowhere to be seen.  His mother was a sight to behold. Her long blonde hair was elaborately curled and a tiara held it nicely back from her face. She had blue eyes and her face was perfectly smooth and delicate. She was tall and slender, wearing a dark blue gown that hugged her hips before flaring down to her feet. Queen Annabeth looked like a 30 year old at the most rather than what her true age was.  Cecilia was wearing yet another skimpy outfit. She had left her long red hair loose down her back and had applied her makeup in a way that highlighted her eyes without being overdone. However her outfit was a completely different story. She had dressed herself in a white dress that was almost completely sheer. The neckline was just above her b***s and the dress gathered at her waist before flaring out. It had a slit up the side showing off her long legs and sparkly silver heels she wore. Her n****** could be seen through the dress and the white thong she wore beneath it.  To Prince Liam she looked like nothing but a tramp and one look at her and his mother had turned his mood sour. He sat idly twirling his fork in his hand as they chatted amicably to each other. Several maids hurried in and placed their first course in front of them while another filled their wine goblets with chilled blood.  He scowled down at the first course. He hated soup of any kind and clear chicken soup was particularly nasty to him. He moved his bowl over with a grunt and began to sip at his blood instead. Although vampires dont necessarily need actual food to survive, they still had taste buds and could enjoy the taste and aroma of foods.  "What is the matter your highness, do you not like soup?"  Cecilia leaned forward, her dress straining at her bosom as she fluttered her eyelids at him. He wanted to roll his eyes at her but refrained knowing how much it would vex his mother.  "I am not a particular fan of soup" he said evenly and she smiled.  "In that case" Cecilia said sweetly before roaring out "MAIDS!" Prince Liam almost fell out of his chair at how loud and high pitched her voice was whereas Queen Annabeth continued smiling serenely. At the summons several maids came rushing in and Celeste pointed at the bowls.  "Take away these bowls and fetch the next course" Cecilia demanded and the maids looked at Queen Annabeth who nodded at them. The maids rushed to remove the bowls in haste and one accidentally bumped his chair.  "Watch it" he growled and she nodded.  "I'm sorry" she whispered, her eyes cast down as she quietly picked his bowl up. Just then there was a shriek and the sound of sobbing, making him whip his head around. Cecilia stood over a cowering maid who was holding her cheek and sobbing on the floor. "How dare you spill a drop on my dress" she shrieked.  The maid sobbed harder. "I'm sorry" she stammered even as Cecilia raised her hand to slap her again. Queen Annabeth merely looked on with a raised eyebrow but did not intervene, amused at the scene playing out next to her. "Enough" roared Prince Liam, causing Cecilia to drop her hand and stare at him wide eyed.  "She spilled soup on my dress" she hissed and Prince Liam rolled his eyes. "You have already punished her. Do I need to remind you they are not your servants?" He hissed in anger and she blushed as she shook her head.  Quietly, two maids helped the one on the floor and they vanished from the room as Cecilia sat down with a pout. Queen Annabeth leaned close to her. "Well done for taking control of the maid and reminding her of her place" she congratulated Cecilia who preened from the praise. Prince Liam wanted to snarl at them both. While he might have reprimanded the maid who jostled him, punishing her physically had never crossed his mind. He abhorred violence against the maids who were only trying to perform their jobs. Cecilia didn't know it but she had just lost Prince Liam's interest completely. The main course was brought in and he was happy to note it was steak and potato bake. It was one of his favourite dishes and he began to tuck in quite happily. Meanwhile Cecilia and Queen Annabeth grimaced and moved their plates to the side.  "Yuck" Cecilia exclaimed and Queen Annabeth murmured her agreement.  "Do you actually like this?" Cecilia exclaimed in disbelief. He ignored her, inhaling his food. If he ate quick enough the dinner would be over soon and he could retire to his room in peace.  "It's one of his favourites. He won't speak to you until he's finished."  Cecilia merely giggled at that and watched as he ate all of the food on his plate. He sat back and patted his stomach, satisfied and feeling quite full. The maids came in and removed the plates without needing to be summoned. The one removing Cecilia's plate was especially careful, as Cecilia watched her like a hawk. "Son it's time we talk about your future" his mother said and Prince Liam inwardly groaned. He knew there was something coming up. They were interrupted as bowls of strawberry mousse was placed in front of them.  "Shouldn't my future be my business mother" he said sardonically and she glared at him.  "We must plan a wedding date" she persisted "you need a heir and I want grandchildren." "Who am I supposed to marry?" He said annoyed and felt his rage starting to build within him.  "Me of course. Queen Annabeth promised you would marry me" Cecilia squealed and Prince Liam saw red.  His eyes flashed red as he stood up abruptly and gripped the table, his claws making deep gouges.  "Mother had no right to promise anything" he hissed and shot a look at her when she went to open his mouth. She shut it abruptly.  "But" Cecilia began to whine and Prince Liam's control snapped.  He sped until he was directly in front of her and lifted her chin with a finger. She gasped and flinched from the pain as his claws were still out. "Listen to me" he drawled while his mother stayed silent in the background.  "I would never marry a hussy like you. You are nothing more than an oversized brat who wants the world to revolve around you. Your voice is annoying and the clothes you wear remind me of a prostitute." Cecilia's eyes swam with tears from his verbal assault but Prince Liam wasn't finished.  "You will leave this castle tonight or I won't be responsible for my actions" he whipped his head around and stared at his mother who looked displeased. "The next time you attempt this I won't hesitate to end you, mother or not" he snarled.  The maids came in and halted as they saw Prince Liam's appearance and his anger. He pointed at two of them "You" he said and they stepped forward hesitantly. "Your highness" they said in unison bowing respectfully to him.  "Take this woman and help her and her father to pack. They are leaving the castle." The maids nodded and gestured for Cecilia to follow them. She opened her mouth to refuse but one look at Prince Liam and she nodded, meekly following them at the dining room. "Was that necessary?" His mother huffed. He growled at her. With a sigh, Queen Annabeth sailed out of the room without looking back.  The maids stood silently awaiting his instructions. Slowly Prince Liam blinked and felt himself returning back to normal. He grabbed his bowl of mousse (it was his favourite dessert after all) and silently gestured for the maids to begin cleaning. Without another word he left and made his way back to his room. He sped not wanting to bump into anyone and locked his door behind him once he reached his room. He ate his dessert and decided it was more than time for him to retire for the night.
