20 The journey to Southbrook took them a shade under fifteen minutes. The village was a busy one, nestled by the side of the motorway and famous only for its service station as well as being on one of the main arterial routes through the county that didn’t involve motorways or dual carriageways. Alveston Close was tucked away neatly on the quieter side of the village away from the main drag, and it seemed unlikely to Wendy that Terry Kendall and Jeff Brelsford would have had much in common.
