18 Wendy had managed to hold off until the next morning. She didn’t want to appear too desperate or for it to look like Suzanne Corrigan had hit on something, so she’d bitten her tongue and held on. It hadn’t been easy, but often so much of policing was about biding your time and waiting for the right moment.
