Chapter Nineteen – Sarah-Sofia Walking down the long driveway towards the bullet-proof car that Papa insisted we use today, I feel like the proverbial meat in the sandwich, as I am flanked by Jaxon and Elliot on either side of me. ‘The meat in the sandwich’, why does that thought fill my stomach with more butterflies than a buddleia tree attracts in the height of summer? Hell, this is going to be a long day. I am not sure why I am even resisting these two stud muffins now. After all, my original reason was to make them regret ignoring my existence on their first night here, but now, they clearly have learned their lesson, so why am I insisting on keeping up the charade of indifference?
