Chapter Twenty-Eight – Elliot. I let out a sigh of relief as I changed in the hospital locker room. It had been a long shift today, not because we were busy, but because of what I had found out from Eva about her son. The poor woman was distraught, and I do not blame her. She was going to take the day off but came over because she had a clinic in the afternoon, and I get the feeling it was a way for her to escape the situation at home. I had found her sitting behind her desk, with tears in her eyes, when she asked me to shut the door and proceeded to ask me to deal with the sisters, the mothers of her new grandchildren, as she did not want to look at them.
