Sam went to school the next day and she wasn't surprise to see that the gossip topic was the Ashton Grey concert Girls were crowded in group talking cheerfully about it. Those who were lucky enough to go would say how handsome Ashton Grey was upstage and those who could only watch would say how handsome Ashton Grey was on TV. It was chaos " good morning Sammy" Freda was already sitting in the classroom when she arrived. They had been friends since high school and Sam could consider the blond model as her best friend " morning Freda" Sam settled in her own seat beside her. Freda was considerably the hottest girl on campus with her wait length blond hair, blue eyes and a perfect body, she was so popular with boys that the blond changed boyfriends constantly like how one changes underwear, Freda had a smooth career as a model and she was already gathering fame even before graduation. Apart from the initial fame the blond was actually a really sweet girl. That was probably why Samantha stuck around her even though she hated being in the spotlight " did you go to the concert? How was it?" Sam sighed " it wasn't actually bad, the guy can sing for sure" " and his one hell of a looker" Freda pouted " I wish I could have gone but I really did have a shoot that day" " you could just watch it on TV" " it wouldn't be the same. I can't just imagine how good Ashton looked in real life" Sam didn't say anything. It would be spoiling Freda's mood if she tells her that indeed Ashton Grey does look a lot more breathtaking up close. It was honestly too bad the guy was weird " am sure you'll meet him soon. Don't does celebrities like to date models" " you think so" the blond's eyes sparkled " just focus on being awesome and you might just date him one day" " really? Thanks Sammy, that makes me feel so much better" " no prob" Sam grabbed her physics textbook from her bag just as the bell rang indicating the commencement of classes * * * During lunch break Samantha headed towards the basket ball court. If she knew her boyfriend clearly he would be there probably playing with the rest of the team. She still had to thank him for the events of yesterday, Xander didn't like concerts but he still took them anyways. That was one of the many things she loved about him Her instincts were confirmed correct when she spotted the lush of blond hair from a distance away, but unlike her expectations her boyfriend wasn't playing like the rest of the team instead he was chatting away with some girl with shoulder length black hair. Sam couldn't see her facials since the girl was backing away from her direction But Sam could clearly see the amused expression on xander's radiant face. ' was she a classmate of his?' Sam didn't put it to heart as she approached the dua " hey babe" Xander was the first to noticed her and he smiled cheerfully at her. Samantha wondered what conversation they might have been having to make her sappy boyfriend so happy " hey" she nodded simply as she walked to his side " this is Vanessa" Sam finally turned to look at the other girl and she thought for a moment that she was blinded. The girl was simply gourgouse. When she flashed Sam a smile a pair of dimples decorated her face making her appear more breathtaking Was that jealousy she felt? " nice to meet ya Samantha, Xander here was telling me all about ya" Great, she had a British accent now " nice to meet you too Vanessa" Sam forced a smile. If Vanessa noticed it she didn't seem to mind " are you new here? I've never noticed you before" " I just transferred here not long ago, but am glad I made some friends" So sweet. So vain " how did you meet Xander ?" " we're in the same class babe" " great" Vanessa flashed her a cheeky smile that made her stomach churn. There was something weird about this girl that made her feel on edge " I'll see you later then xanny darling " she winked before walking away in long majestic steps, some of the guys on the court whistled while others threw a flirtatious remark Samantha's expression darkened as she stole a glance up and her boyfriend. Xander was blushing, it was so small and barely noticeable but it was there nonetheless. For the first time ever she felt self conscious and Samantha never felt self conscious * * * The day came to an end rather quicker than expected, it was probably because she might have spent the rest of the day wallowing in doubt, she pitied herself now for getting so worked up over nothing. Xander wasn't like most guys, if he were she would never have dated him in the first place. He loved her, he loved her and he loved her, that was enough of a reassurance for mind She saw her Father's car in the parking lot and she hurried in her steps to approach it " hey dad" " hey sweety, how's school" Emma was sitting quietly in the backseat with her headphones on, she simply nodded towards Samantha Sam turned to stare at her Father's side profile as he started the car " when did you get back home?" " not long ago, our flight was delayed a bit" " how long are you staying this time Jeremy?" The older man gave her a side glare but didn't comment on her addressing him by his first name " don't be like this Sam, you know my job requires me to take this frequent trips" " that wasn't what I asked" He sighed " a week or so" Sam didn't comment and sank back into her seat. At this point she should already get used to this, her parents weren't the type to care about anything else but their career " its not always going to be like this you know, soon we'll take a leave from work and then we can all go on a family vacation" " what make's you think I'll stick around till then? Am probably married with kids by then" " Samantha..." " I can't wait to finish college and get a good job, I won't ever come back to that house again" That being said Sam face away from him pulling out her phone and texted Xander, it was unusual when he didn't text her back immediately Maybe he was busy. That was a first
