Chapter 5

Sirius’ pov

So ok, my plans with Rayne did not go exactly to plan as King Killian announced at the evening meal last night that she was his mate. She did not look totally on board with the idea, so I did not stop my flirting or letting her know she still had options.

Hell, the vampire Prince did not stand down either. He was just a bit more discreet than me in his advances. Killian looked fit for murder, even if Rayne was giving us just as little, if not less attention, and seriousness to our advances.

I am sure I am now on a losing battle as Rayne is the type of girl that believes in mates and she hasn’t rejected his a.ss yet, which means he has the best chance of winning her heart. I guess I am on the prowl at the party now, then since I do not need to impress Rayne anymore.

Surprise of surprises Blaze starts shouting in my head at the party that our mate is here and he is determined to find her and claim her. He is stomping at the bit to get out of me and hunt her down if it is the last thing he does.

Me, myself, on the other hand, well, I am happy to hold back and observe her now that I have picked her out of the crowd. Being a royal, I can mask my scent enough to confuse her where it is coming from. It looks like my little mate is a wolf.

I watched her for quite a while at the party, it looked like she was well liked and I could tell by her aura that she is an Alpha wolf, so far so good. I have to say she is a decent height for a female and has amazing curves in all of the right places.

Those breasts of hers are fu.cking magnificent. You need more than a hand to get a grip of those. Her emerald green eyes sparkle next to her pitch black hair, I don’t think I have ever seen as deep a black, and it shines like silk under the lights. She is truly a work of art.

I am not too pleased to see her with that Alpha wolf until Chris informs me that it is her brother and they have a strained relationship. How he knows these things I am unsure, but he is great for giving me information on everything like the amazing beta he is.

Knowing it is a family member calms down Blaze even if he is concerned about her body language next to her brother and wants to go over and rescue her from him. She holds herself well, not letting her emotions get to her as she walks off with her head held high. So far, I am impressed with what I am seeing.

Something that does not impress me is when that lycan goes over to her and drags her on the dance floor, they look too cosy and close for Blaze and I’s liking. By the time they are on their second dance, I can no longer stand back and watch, especially not with Blaze in my ear, pushing me forward to go to her.

I make my way over and tap him on the shoulder to cut in, despite me being a king, the a.ss does not let that get to him as he checks she is fine with him passing her off to me. What right does he have to be so concerned for my mate.

Her acceptance and the tingles as soon as I hold her into my arms manage to calm me and my beast down as I whisk her around the dance floor asking her name. It sounds slightly familiar, but I can not think of from where, anyway that is not important right now.

After a couple of dances, I managed to coax her off of the dance floor and talk her into following me to her room. She is slightly reluctant. She must be nervous and shy, which gives her bonus points as she obviously does not just give herself away to others, or she would not be this bashful.

Blaze can not wait to get her naked and claim her as ours, and I have to admit she looks like one hell of a woman and definitely someone I would want as a queen. She is stunning and is from a powerful bloodline, I can feel her wolf’s strength.

When I finally get her to her room, I devour her mouth, dominating the kiss as she tries to keep up. Fu.ck she smells and tastes divine, everything is so much more heightened with your mate, it is true what they say about the bond and the pleasure you feel with the one made for you.

She looks embarrassed and tries to cover herself up as I start to undress us. She is even more beautiful with that flushed, innocent face as she tries to hide her body from me. I am more than happy to go slow for her, but I am definitely wanting to get the full view of her delectable body.

“Don’t hide what is mine from me beautiful, I want to see all of you” I say, gently trying to keep the growl out of my voice as I am holding on by a thread.

As I get her down on the bed naked, she is still acting shy. She quickly goes from nerves and pleasure to confusion and hurt as she tries to work out why my demeanour has changed.

I mean, really, she can not be that stupid not to realise that she has been caught out and her little miss innocent act is no longer working on me. Blaze is still arguing on her behalf and wants to take over and go gently before claiming her as ours. I make sure to keep him back from doing anything stupid that we can not take back.

He is really annoyed at me right now and wants me to give her the benefit of the doubt, but I am not falling for that cr.ap. She is not who she makes out to be. So I will happily have the pleasure of what it is like to have s*x with a mate before I walk away.

Even if she is a sneaky little sl.ut who tried to fool me, she is still the best fu.ck I have ever had. The mate bond does have some bonuses. As soon as I c.um, I pull out not caring if she managed to get any pleasure out of it or not and I start and get dressed again straight away as she looks at me upset and confused.

“I have no idea why you are looking like that. Did you really think that the sweet innocent act would work with me. I can tell what a fu.cking virgin feels like. I can not believe I fell for your act. You are nothing but a who.re who is happy to give it away to anyone that comes along” I say seething.

“Fu.ck you you pr.ick, you know nothing about me, get the fu.ck out of my room before I fu.cking remove you myself” She says with a mixture of fire and pain in her voice and eyes as tears fall down her face.

The mate bond is making me feel a bit guilty, but I managed to shake those thoughts off before Blaze takes over and walks my a.ss out of the room, worried about me hurting our mate more. I am pi.ssed at him for not letting me reject the lying bi.tch straight out. It is only his threat not to shift again for me that stops me from going back into that room and making sure she knows she has no chance with me.

Well, by tomorrow, he will be a bit more tired out, and I can reject her before either of us leave here. I know she is friends with Rayne, so I am sure she will be sticking around to see her and probably give her a sob story.

I do not give a fu.ck what any of them think. Maybe if she kept herself for me, then things might have worked out differently. Hell, even if she did not act so sweet and innocent only to be found out, I may have asked her a few more questions. I mean I am not a total hypocrite, one ex lover or at the most two and I am sure if she had a good enough excuse I would have listened, but to act like an innocent virgin and get my hopes up, that is something I will not let slide no matter what Blaze says.
