After the meeting with the council, I called in for a pack meeting. It was held in the pack house's ballroom/meeting room.

I stood in front of everyone, still thinking of the upcoming expedition.

Joshen faked a cough to gain my attention. I cleared my throat and turned to the pack.

"I'm glad that all of you came in short notice. Anyway, earlier, I was called in front of the council. It has something to do with the moon walkers."

Murmurs buzzed around.

"As you know, there may have still some that freely roamed the earth. And they are causing havoc, turning humans and other supernatural into moon walkers. Lady Amara may have found a cure to the moon walkers bite."

Another round of murmurs.

"The queen has sent me to an expedition to gather a plant, essential for the cure. I called everyone to let you all know about his development, and to inform all of you that I'll be leaving for a while. The beta couple will step up as your alpha couple for the meantime."

Joshen and Kathy whom were a fully mated couple stood beside me.

"While I am gone, I want you to keep the peace and order in the pack, like it has been for the last couple of months. I'll assign delta Brian to supervise everyone's training. Take it to another level if it’s necessary.."

I paused and turned to Jason.

"General Jason. I want you to triple the guards at every sentry. Triple the patrols, and change their pattern every now and then. I don't want anything to get pass the guards that will lead to endangering the pack." I said.

Jason nodded.

"Life goes on like the ordinary, but I ask everyone to be vigilant at all times. Memorize the escape plan by heart. I need everyone safe. Am I understood?" I said in alpha voice.

Everyone bowed.

"Yes alpha." They all said in unison.

"Good. Dismissed!"

And everyone left, to get back to whatever they are doing. Joshen, Brian and Jason stayed behind.

"I meant everything I said. I leave the pack in your hands. And I expect you to protect them." I said.

"Don't worry alpha. Everything will be fine." Joshen said.

I nodded.

"When are you leaving anyway?" Jason asked.

I sighed when I remembered the upcoming trip.

"Tomorrow. The rest of the elite assassin team will be arriving tonight for another orientation. " I paused when I remembered that Sahara won't be joining us in this journey.

"I better start packing. I need everything I need packed." I said, then I excused myself to return to my room.

Once I'm back in my room, I immediately went to my closet and pulled a travel bag and huge back pack. I began taking clothes from the hangers and stuffing them inside my bags. I took some other necessary stuff and put it inside my bag.

I even took several guns and put it inside my back pack. And then I took my emergency medical bag. It contains every medical stuff, from things to use for a minor surgery, medicines and poison antidotes.

Once I'm done packing my bags I plopped myself in the bed.

'Tomorrow is the start of an adventure.'

'Its about time you had yours.' Cairo said.

'I guess you're right.'

Later that day, I was called to uncle Lucas workshop.

When I got there, the other elite assassin team were there. We all gathered around a table with some weapons and gadgets. Uncle Lucas said it would help us with our expedition. Mom, dad and lady Amara joined us to give us an orientation.

Uncle Lucas really is a pure genius. No wonder he got himself a seat in the council. Even dad was really impressed with his works. Heck, he's impressed even though he's still jealous of uncle Lucas and mom's closeness.
