Ares tore at the plant with a savage, unrestrained ferocity, and I stared in stunned shock as he shredded away blurring fistful after fistful of the vine-like tendrils that wrapped around him. Precious seconds flew by before I managed to shake off the horrified paralysis that had overcome me; but even then, I could do little but circle him as he swung wildly about. He was still ripping apart the rapidly-growing moly - utterly blind now that his face was entirely covered by the now-gigantic white petals.
