Chapter 5 Sand was dressed for the night in jeans and a T-shirt as he paced the bedroom in frustration, waiting for Andre to awaken. Going to the window, he eased back the drapes which he’d closed twelve hours earlier to keep the sunlight out. Incinerating Andre while he slept was not something Sand wanted to happen. The sky was almost dark, the high clouds edged with orange and silver as the last rays of the lowering sun hit them, so he pulled the drapes open all the way. “Thank you for keeping them closed,” Andre said, appearing beside him.
