Chapter 22

Carla’s P.O.V

  We all sat down to eat dinner, talk and just be with each other, enjoying each other's company. Gabi and Alec were a cute couple, but I was still a little worried about her, especially after everything she had been through. Gabi had been traded by her father, auctioned off and then turned into a vampire, plus there was everything that her first mate Eric had put her through and yet she was still standing strong. She was an incredible and strong woman, one who I was not only proud to call my friend and sister, but she was also someone I respected. We all ate our dinner and after we had finished I grabbed Gabi and took her to the side, needing to talk to her. 

  “Listen, you know you don’t have to go, right? You can stay as long as you want and I’ll even talk to Brandon to see if he will give up some of his territory so that Alec can build on the land. I’m sure he won’t mind, besides, he owns all this land and he can build far enough so that the packs won’t get confused or upset over a clan being on their land.” I said, but Gabi just smiled at me.

  “Carla, it does sound like a great idea, but you do know that we can eat regular food as well, right? We don’t always have to eat blood, I mean we need it to get rid of the blood lust, but not as much as people think. We can eat normal, everyday food as well, like you have just seen. That wasn’t a one off thing, we can do it all the time.” Gabi replied and I nodded.

  “I figured that out when Alec ate the bacon and eggs, so all is good. I just wanted to make sure you were alright, I have only got you back and I don’t want to go so long between seeing each other again. Why don’t you go with Alec, I’m sure he wants to spend more time with you and I’ll have a chat with my husband.” I said and hugged Gabi tightly, just in case neither Brandon or Alec agreed to my plan and this was the last time I was seeing her. Gabi giggled at me as I rushed back into the dining hall to talk to Brandon, but he wasn’t in there anymore. I walked upstairs to see where he was and then I smelled his scent in our bedroom.

  “Now what is he up to?” I mumbled to myself, sniffing the air, but I could smell a lot of other things besides Brandon’s scent and it was confusing my senses. I didn’t bother knocking and just walked right into the bedroom. I was stunned to see that there were flowers everywhere and it smelled just like a flower garden here. I looked around at all the beautiful flowers, but Brandon was still nowhere to be seen, so I walked into the bathroom hoping to find him in there, but yet again he was nowhere. The steam was rising from the bathtub full of hot water and it had candles lit and flower petals around it, but there was also a note.

  Hi love, get in the bath and relax. I’ll be there shortly to help you relax even more.

  This is a nice surprise, I thought to myself as I placed the note down and took my clothes off. I got into the tub and slipped down until I had my head resting on the back. I must have fallen asleep at some point because the next thing I knew I felt a hand running through my hair. I opened my eyes to see Brandon sitting next to the bath, shirtless.

  “Are you going to stroke my hair and look at me all day or are you going to join me in the tub?” I asked and he quickly stood up, taking off his jeans and boxers. He got into the tub and pulled me to him so that I was straddling him, but before I could even talk to him about the land and my idea he started talking.

  “Listen, I don’t want you to be mad at me, but I was talking to Alec and well that’s what took me so long to get back here. I know you don’t want to be so far away from Gabi and I know that Gabi feels the same way, so I took the lead and I’m giving Alec some of my land. They will be far enough away to keep the balance and natural order between vampires and werewolves, but also close enough that you and Gabi can still see each other. Alec and Gabi will only be two hours away instead of two weeks away. Alec and I have talked at length about it, we have come to an agreement and the builders have now started building. It’s going to take several months before everything is done and everyone is moved over here, but it will be built. Alec has gone to talk to Gabi and let her know of the decision we have come to.” Brandon said and to say I was surprised was an understatement. I decided to tell Brandon about my idea, after all he had the same idea as me.

  “You know, Gabi and I talked about the exact same thing, so I came looking for you to talk to you about it, but you weren't here and I found all of this. You beat me to it, so I guess it's true what they say, great minds really do think alike.” I replied, leaning over and kissing him. I pressed up against him, knowing that it had been a few days since we had last made love and all I wanted and needed was him. I slid my hand down his chest to under the water where his c**k was and grabbed hold to play with it. 

  “You like what you’re touching? Don’t start something you can’t finish.” Brandon said, smirking at me.

  “Who says I can’t finish?” I replied, looking seductively at him and biting my lower lip because I knew it drove him crazy.
