1092 Words
"So this is what you do? besides cleaning up murdered people ?" Sora asked taking a hearty bite of her half wrapped hotdog. She could see why he liked it so much, it was delicious and she could easily have another serving as well. Ashton nodded his head up and down with a mouthful. "Now, do you ever eat anything else besides hot dogs?" She asked. It was a damn good hot dog she wasn't gonna lie. "Well... I get take out from Burger King or McDonalds at times " he told her. "This hot dog is pretty tasty and Mcdonalds and Burger King are pretty amazing but this fast food diet every is a little unhealthy don't you think ? I think you really need a home cooked meal Ashton, when was the last time you had that? " she poked her tongue out to wipe the mustard on her upper lip. "I am not really sure, I can't remember" he said gulping down the last bite as he looked at her sitting beside him. They had ended up going to the park when Sora had suggested she'd like to do something that he usually did, hence, he brought her to the park and bought her and himself- a hot dog each. "Then it's settled, I'll cook dinner for you today but at your place, I don't want my grand mother questioning me about you" she suggested. "So you're cool with coming to my place alone?" he asked with a brow raised. "Yea I don't see why not, I mean we have been hanging out for a week, if you wanted to kill me or do something bad to me, I think you have had plenty of opportunities to do so and yet you haven't" she pointed out and he nodded. " That's true but what if I was just gaining your trust an dI plan to screw you over?" he challenged, looking at her with a scrutinising gaze. "I mean could be... are you though?" she asked looking at him nervously with a slight pout. His eyes softened at her expression and he decided to stop messing with her in this way. "No I am not, I promise, don't worry" he reassured with sincerity. "Alright then, we'll have garlic butter steak with spaghetti sauce, how does that sound?" She suggested. "Fine with me, we'll have to stop by a grocery store though, my refrigerator only holds beer and water" He couldn't beleive he was agreeing to take her to his place again but a home cooked meal sounded appealing and since he had met her it had been hand for him to say no to her in regards to anything. After doing the necessary grocery shopping they drove over to Ashton's place. As Ashton pulled the car into the driveway Sora took a good look at his Bunglow. It was huge and now that she was in the right state of mind rather than in a distraught state like she was last time she was at his place and barely noticed anything through her tears and fear she now noticed how modern looking and stylish it was with two floors and big tinted glass windows. "Your house is so huge and elegant, I really like it Ash, you must get paid very well from your... job I guess" she commented. He didn't miss the nick name that she absentmindedly gave him but he didn't mind so he didn't point it out either. "Yea, thanks and it does pay well" he replied. As the car came to a stop and he unfastened his seat belt, getting out without a word, swiftly. Sora was about to open her side of the door when when Ashton opened it for her and helped her out of the truck by her waist since the truck was pretty high in comparison to the ground. Her cheeks turned crimson as she blushed at his chivalorous action. "Thank you" she muttered out. He only nodded his head in acknowledgement scratching the back of his neck as his ears turned pink too. Ashton stood in the doorway of his kitchen after taking a shower and watched Sora stir the spaghetti sauce in the pan. He couldn't help the warm feeling that spread through his heart at the sight of her. She looked up at him momentarily and passed him a smile. "Anything I can do to help?" he asked clearing his throat to pull himsel out of his absurd thoughts. "Oh no it's actually ready I am just mixing the speghetti in the sauce, although if you could just set the plates and stuff on the table that would be great ?"she replied. "Sure " Ashton set the needed cutlery on the table and shortly after Sora brought out the steaming bowl of spaghetti and butter steak sauce. Ashton's mouth watered at the heavenly smell of her cooking. After took a seat, he served her and himself, both. That was the least he could do to show his gratitude for the meal she had slaved on for two hours. "What do you think" she asked watching him chew his first forkful. Ashton basely kept himself- from moaning out in delight. "It's letcious, you're pretty fine cook" he complemented and she beamed up at him with a toothy grin. "I am glad you like it Ash" that nick name again, it made him feel a kind of pride that she was comfortable enough with him to give him a nick name. It was silly but he couldn't help it. Just then the thunder clapped as a boom was heard causing her to jump up in her seat in surprise and seconds after the harsh pitter patter of rain followed along by lightning. "Seems like a thunderstorm " Ashton stated. "Yea... I need to get home" she said looking at him with her brows furrowed. " I don't think it's a good idea to drive out in that storm, how about you stay the night and I can drop you back home first thing in the morning" he offered. "Oh I don't know... " she fidgeted in her seat pondering upon his offer as another boom of thunder was heard and the rain came down faster with harsh winds. "I don't see much of a choice Sora" he said, gulping down his mouthful of speghetti. "Alright I'll call my grand mother and let her know I'll be staying at a friend's place" she said getting back to her dinner as well.
