Chapter Ten
Jason held open the passenger door of his truck and gestured Naomi in with a smile. He was looking forward to taking her around to his other jobs. Week three of her triplex job had passed by with no word from Brandon, and a relaxed comfort in how he and Naomi interacted. After the night at of the snowstorm, they no longer assumed the worst of each other and he found her to be fun and engaging.
With one thing and another, including her having to do a special project with her ads job, they hadn’t been able to arrange to visit his other sites until today, nearly two weeks later. Tomorrow would officially complete week five of Brandon being gone, but Naomi no longer asked about him.
They’d done their usual walk-through at the triplex, finding no issues and chatting with the crew
