Nathan’s POV
I frowned. Why was Jake at the clinic? He seemed to be taking food to whoever he was here to see.
As though reading my mind, Luca asked, “Do you want to check it out?”
I glanced at him as though considering what he said. Then I proceeded to nod. If Jake was seeing someone at the clinic I needed to know who. Maybe it has something to do with the attack on my men last night.
“Do you want me to come with you?” he asked.
“You can go, I've got this. I will meet up with you later,” I said, and started towards the room I saw Jake enter.
When I got closer, I could hear hushed conversations. I hesitated.
But on second thought, I pushed the door open and walked in.
My eyes immediately fell on the bed.

I clenched my fists as I noticed the purplish bruise on her face
