When Luca informed me that he had found Nicole after all these years of searching for her, I could not believe it. Even more shocking was when he told me that she had come knocking on the gates only for my mother to have her thrown into the dungeon.
All these years of searching for her all to no avail made me resent her. She did not even bother to reach out to me or at least let me know she wasn’t interested.
What else did I expect from a call-girl? Her job was to sleep with men, take her pay and move on, so why did I even think she would act differently towards me?
