Chapter Nine THE NERVOUS energy that coursed through Chandler made it impossible for him to concentrate hard enough to do any editing. He busied himself with housework, made a decent lunch for Raymond and himself, and tried to find distraction in a sci-fi novel. He kept thinking about Marcus and their plans for the evening. Chandler had to pick him up from work at two thirty and drive him to the DMV. After he got his title and license plate, they’d come back home and get ready for their first real date.
