Chapter 9Kate sat on the bed for a moment longer before following downstairs. She realised that when she was with Lex she didn’t think about Debs at all -- it was like Lex’s presence wiped her out of her head and heart. There was no doubt about it, she wanted more than friendship with this gorgeous biker chick, but Lex was so determined to take things slowly she wasn’t sure how to force the issue -- she was even beginning to think Lex may have changed her mind about her.
They spent the next couple of hours drinking coffee and chatting, until Kate reluctantly said she should get home as she had an early start in the morning. Lex offered to take her home but Kate said she would get a cab, and as they were waiting for it to turn up Kate had an idea.
