She Is My Fiancé

Stella was flustered to hear Edward speak up. When she realized what she had addressed Edward as, her cheeks turned red. Victor recalled the conversation he had with Elena on the phone before he came here. Elena confided in him that Stella had just broken off the engagement. She would definitely not get married or get pregnant within such a short period of time. "Stella, I don't have a girlfriend. Have you misunderstood something? I can explain it." After Victor came to his senses, he got up and walked towards Stella. As he spoke, he reached out to pull Stella's hand. She frowned in disgust. As soon as he reached his hand out, she quickly raised her hand and slapped him hard in the face. The sound of the slap echoed. With the hatred she gathered from her previous life, Stella slapped with all her strength. Victor was knocked to the ground. He saw stars and his face was burning with pain. She retorted coldly from above, "Victor, listen carefully. I don't like you. No... it's not that I don't like you. I hate you. When I see you, I feel disgusted." "If killing is not illegal, you will definitely die in my hands." When she uttered the last sentence, her voice was shockingly chilly. Victor looked up at her in disbelief. "Stella..." "What?" As soon as he opened his mouth, he was interrupted by Stella. Her tone was harsh as she spat out, "Did I not make it clear, or do you not understand human language?" Not only was his confession rejected, but he was also slapped in public. Victor was embarrassed. His expression changed as he slowly stood up from the ground. Victor's gaze swept across Edward and Stella. When Stella met his gaze, he felt a tingling in his eyes. "Stella, you may not like me, but why did you slander me? I’ve liked you since college, but I knew that you were engaged to someone else. Hence, I didn't confess." He paused and continued, "This time, I came to confess my love to you because I knew that you had broken off the engagement. Why didn't you tell me earlier that you hated me?" Victor's words not only explained that he did not get involved in other people's affairs but also implied that she took the initiative to flirt with him and regarded him as a backup. Sure enough, as soon as he finished speaking, everyone around him looked at her strangely and pointed at her. Sherry also sneered and crossed her arms to watch the show. Her expression darkened even more. Just as she was about to retort, Edward's cold but charming voice rang out beside her. "I'm her fiancé. Why do I not know that she had broken off the engagement?" Edward was extremely handsome. He was dressed in a well-cut suit that outlined his perfect figure. He looked elegant just by standing there. Without waiting for Victor's retort, he looked back at Bruce with a straight face and exclaimed, "Contact them tomorrow. We'll buy this office building and set up strict security to prevent random people from barging in." After a brief moment of shock, Victor's expression darkened. Bruce looked expressionlessly at Victor and uttered, "Mr. Benz, this piece of land belongs to the Benz Group. So does the building." Hearing this, Edward frowned slightly. Not long after, he parted his thin lips. "Fire all the employees of the company and recruit new employees." Cold sweat instantly flowed down the backs of the two security guards standing outside the crowd. They quickly ran over and apologized to Edward. Then, they hurriedly dragged Victor away. Victor was full of resistance. He yelled at Edward, "What's so great about money? Can you insult people and drive them away with money? Edward–" Edward looked at him indifferently with a charming smile on his face as he cut Victor off. "Yeah, money is king." He only said a few words but it almost pissed Victor to death. Out of anger, he cursed. The security guards' clothes were soaked in cold sweat. They quickened their pace and carried Victor to throw him out. Because of how handsome he was, Edward’s popularity in Austin was unparalleled. A lot of rich young ladies wanted to and tried all sorts of ways to get close to him, to no avail. However, on this day, he stepped up for Stella! Sherry’s face darkened. She took her phone out of her bag, turned around, walked to a corner, and made a phone call. …… Inside the coffee shop. Stella sat opposite Edward. After glancing at him for the third time, she stopped stirring the coffee and spoke. “Since you helped me, then I will keep my promise. I will try to give you whatever you want.” “But let’s make this clear first. I was fired by the company and I don’t have much savings with me. I might only be able to repay you after I find a new job.” After she finished saying that, she fixed her gaze on Edward. She waited for him to state his conditions. Edward looked at her in silence for quite a while. He leaned against the seat with an unhappy and arrogant look on his face. “Do I look like someone who needs money? What I want is the child in your womb.” Stella was taken aback and rejected without even thinking twice, “No, let me reiterate my words. Apart from my child, I can give you whatever you want.” “You should have made your conditions clear when you begged me for help. How could you change it now?” There was a clear hint of sarcasm in his words. “Or are you trying to go back on your word?” She was left speechless. There may not be anyone who dared go back on their words in front of Edward. However, her daughter was her life! Tears started to form in her eyes. She straightened her back and pleaded in a soft voice, “Mr. Benz, since our families are aristocratic families and that we have been engaged ever since we were young, can we reconsider this?” Edward thought about the last time he saw her. She did not give in, not even when she was facing over a dozen huge men. That night in Heaven Villa, no matter what method he used to make her beg for mercy, she didn't say a word. The moment Stella gave in, Edward was pleased. He raised his eyebrows. “There is still room for discussion, but I want to know who the child in your womb belongs to, and I want the truth.” Stella looked at him. Her scalp was numb for some time before she mustered the courage to say, “It’s yours.” In her previous life, Edward’s business had taken over almost all of Austin. She might still have a chance if she was honest with him. Ever since Stella came out of the hospital, Edward asked his men to comb through her schedule for the past month. Apart from that night, there was no other chance for her to get pregnant. Therefore, he was sure that the child was his. Even so, he still trembled slightly when he heard Stella admitting to it. After a long silence, Edward suddenly stood up and left. Stella stared at his retreating figure, speechless. That was it? She looked in the direction where Edward had left with mixed feelings in her heart. She saw Edward standing outside the window of the coffee shop. He took out a box of cigarettes from his pocket and lit a cigarette. Lots of girls were taking pictures of him from inside the restaurant. Stella’s lips twitched then she looked away. After some time, just as Stella was about to leave, Bruce suddenly walked over and sat down opposite her. He was holding a briefcase in his hand. Stella subconsciously looked towards the place where Edward was standing, but he was not there anymore. Bruce’s humble and polite voice could be heard, “Stella, here is a marriage agreement. This is the compensation Mr. Benz hopes to get from you. Please have a look.” “Marriage?” Stella’s heart was thumping as her gaze flew to Bruce then onto the document that Bruce was handing over. She frowned. “What is the meaning of this?”
