Thirty-eight: Emma Endless             I had a nightmare.             And I woke myself up.             Thanks to Baxter, I was awake. I was also out of my cell. The problem was I was still stuck in the dungeon. “Clever girl, aren’t you?” I heard a voice say from within the darkness of another cell. “Getting yourself out? How’d you manage that?”             I frowned. “I’m not in the habit of telling strangers my business. I find that kind of thing gets you killed.”             “Smart girl,” the stranger said. The person was still in the shadows. They were wearing a cloak. “If you were smarter, you’d help me get out too.”             I tilted my head to the side. “Why would I do that? I don’t even know who you are. Besides, I’ll draw less attention if it’s only me escaping.”
