8 Caius led the way as our small group marched Cherny and his skipper upstairs to the room near the top of the stairs. He swung open the door and stepped aside before he swept his arm toward the small room. “Get in,” he invited our ‘guests.’ Cherny and Warren reluctantly entered and Caius shut the door behind them, nearly butt-capitating Warren. He locked the door with the thick key that belonged to that portal and tucked the key inside his jacket.
