"the big wolf told you, who is the big wolf? who are you talking about?" Lady Carolyn asked trying to get what she's saying
"Yes, when the fire started to burn in the shed, the big wolf appeared and showed me where to pass, it led me home and I started to play on my own since you were not around, it played with me till I fell asleep" Gaia narrated
"What does the big wolf look like? can you describe the appearance?" Lady Carolyn pressed further
"the wolf is white, very big with it's fur very much and beautiful. It has blue eyes and a very long teeth when it opened its mouth. The wolf was having circle likes designs on it's body and very strong" the small girl blabbered in return
"You must have been seeing things since you were near death experience" Lady Carolyn concluded
"I am saying the truth though, the wolf even played with me till I slept off" she insisted
"really? it played with you? you must have enjoyed its company so much that you even slept off" Lady Carolyn replied rubbing her back with a smile
"it was fun playing with it since it didn't bite" she agreed with a giggle
"that must have been nice" Lady Carolyn supported but she was wondering what it could be silently
She knew the history of her birth and the identity of her father so she could not rule out the fact that she might be connected to the wolf origin but she couldn't decipher how the wolf came to be not to talk of saving her.
"I want some water" the unbothered young girl said motioning to the jug on the table and she quickly served her water.
Lady Carolyn began to study her from that day and saw that she plays a lot whenever she was alone, she would laugh and giggle as if someone was doing something funny to her but no matter how the lady looked, she found nothing in front or beside her
"She must have taken her dad's power" she concluded after reading several books on wolves and realized their qualities of mind reading and linking, shifting, being fast in nature, very sensitive and also hears well even though she's far away most times. The only thing she could no do was reading Lady Carolyn's mind but every other things were easy for a girl of her age and this caused hatred from other small children. Their hatred birthed by jealousy increased when she got out of the fire miraculously because they left her in the place where she was staying for hide and seek game, they all rushed out of the fire in a hurry but forgot to inform her, thanks to the said big wolf, she got out of the house unscathed.
They planned to make her cry one day and decided to invite her to play with them, she was so excited abour playing with them and jumped all the way there. On getting there, she was offered food but she declined, after seeing that the only way to be given entry is to eat the food
"You finally want to join us? you want to be our friends again?" one of them asked with a wide smile
"of course! I want to be your friend" she replied with excitement
"then you have to eat our food with us, why are you friends with us if you can't eat with us?" the boy said and she was left with no choice
she finally gave in and ate the food she was offered without knowing that it contained grounded beans. She finished her portion because she feared that they might not be friends with her if she doesn't finish it.
She ate the food and became friends with them, they all laughed, giggled and ran around the compound until she stopped midway during a game. She held her stomach and started to make some painful noises before she finally fell to the ground and started rolling in great pain
"are you okay? what is wrong with you?" they all asked running to her with a worried look except the boy that offered her food
The boy had heard Lady Carolyn talking about why she must not have beans or any beans product because it's extremely dangerous for her. He wanted to see what will happen if she eats the beans and also since she had always express her wanting to play with them, he used that as a leverage and conditioned her joining based on eating with them.
He mixed the grounded beans powder in the soup for the rice without her knowing and when she ate it, her insides were on fire
They all asked what was wrong with her and if she would be explain how she was feeling but she kept rolling on the floor. When one of them saw that no one could do something helpful, she ran to call Lady Carolyn and inform her of the situation at hand
Lady Carolyn was already on her way when something shocking happened. Her body shook so much that everyone was afraid to come nearer, she foamed from the mouth for a while and convulsed before she suddenly rose up and sat, she growled hard into the air making everyone gasp and cover their mouths in surprise
Her eys became swirling blue and they were radiating so much energy that no one could comprehend what was happening or while they were that way, it was shining so bright that no one dared to look.
She growled again and stood up from the sitting position before taking heavy marching steps which made everyone run but the amazing thing was that anywhere she steppee upon on the grass, the grasses there got burnt and destroyed beyond repair.
"What in the world is this? she's a monster" one of them yelled with a shivering voice as she ran away from the scene
The little girl was speaking in incoherent language as she moved, her fingers were on fire and the air surrounding her became very chilly
"Gaia! Gaia!! Gaia!!! you can't do that!" Lady Carolyn yelled as she saw her from afar but she wasn't listening
Everything she kept touching was being burnt immediately beyond repair making everyone run for their lives in horror.
Lady Carolyn yelled her name as she got there and ran to hug her to people's surprise
"You should come back to your sense, why are you like this?" she yelled at her before grabbing her shoulders to shake her
"she must be a monster" they remarked but earned an ear piercing scream from Lady Carolyn
"who do you think you are calling a monster?" Lady Carolyn roared at them before hugging her tight
"Please come back to your senses" she whispered into her ears with a pleading manner and she fell upon her shoulders immediately
she fainted!
