“He's here!" Tom shouts as loud as he can in the interior hallway. I quickly slap a hand over his mouth and shush him.
“Shut up!" I whisper and smile at a passing guard, who gives me a polite nod.
“Yes, he's here. We brought him in last night. Dad thinks he can tell us something that might lead to the people who attacked that pack. He thinks there might be others in danger."
Tom's eyes are lit with excitement, and I'm hesitant to pull my hand away. He squirms from beneath me, and I finally let go.
