"f**k," Voss groaned, finally satiated and content as he finished feeding off the female elk and moved away. "It feels good to be satiated. And I don't know...to shift again?"
"Yeah?" I grimaced. "Can't say the same after what you did, Voss."
"What do you mean?" he demanded as we started back towards the cabin we were staying in, literally in the middle of nowhere.
"You don't remember?" I asked, surprised.
"It's all blurred," he replied. "What the f**k did happen? Why do I feel...well, weird? I don't know...it almost felt like I was dead or something,"
"Because you were," I grumbled. "And so was I. It's a miracle named Alexis, with whose blessing we are still alive."
"Don't play around, Gordon, patience is not my forte," Voss growled. "What do you mean?"
