"Alpha.." his voice sounded weird. "We found her. I th...think we fo...found Rose." My heart stopped as Alexis's voice rang through my head.
"What?" I whispered.
"I can't explain. You...you need to come home first," he said. I frowned at the phone. If he really found Rose, wasn't he supposed to be excited? Why did he sound scared instead?
"Alexis what is it?" I demanded. "Wh..." I turned around and halted, the rest of the words not leaving my lips as my eyes fell on...her.
She was across the road. It was hard to see and yet the sudden jump in my heartbeat, the sudden pounding and feeling of coming alive forced every fibre in my body to sing with her name.
