‘What do you mean you only kissed?’ Sammy yelled down the phone to me.
Adjusting my headphones, feeling her raised voice vibrating in my eardrums, I continued stretching in preparation for my run; something I hadn’t done in too long, ‘Wow, even on a Saturday morning, you’re full of enough energy to be super loud.’
‘Don’t try and avoid this conversation, Amelia!’ She said, volume still high.
Laughing, ‘What were you expecting, Sammy?’ I sighed happily, ‘It was only our first date.’
‘Yeah, but,’ she huffed, ‘the s****l tension between you guys this past week has been crazy. I totally thought you guys already did it the night of the full moon.’
