~ E V E R E T T ~ A roar of hysteria boomed through the village. Murmurs of worry pulsed throughout the crowd and echoed though the forest as I dashed back to the village centre. Elders on their knees praying to the Moon Goddess, parents consoling their children who were meant to have their first shift this month, and others in the villages, screaming, crying and raging for answers. The moon had definitely hit the peak of the sky, yet we’re not shifting.
