I walked briskly out of the office, my hand coming to rest on my chest. It was thumping hard, and I swallowed, my body lightly trembling. I stopped right in front of the car and turned to the office, my eyes taking it in. I am not sure what I wanted to see, but it was empty, and I turned around and got in the car. Just as the car turned around, however, and crossed to the other lane, I looked up. The imposing building of glass was slowly being left behind, and I could faintly see Fabian at the very top. His hands were in his pockets, and from such a distance, I couldn't tell his expression. But it almost had me breathless, and I turned away, my heart going wild again.
