The sun filtered in, and I closed my eyes tighter, my hand coming over my face to shield me from the sun. I moved further into a certain warmth, and the shadow covered me up. I broke into a smile, then leaned even further, closing my eyes tight. Wait. My eyes slowly fluttered open. The scent was strong, and it filled my nostrils, my chest lightly heaving with slow realization. A black shirt came into view. I could see the buttons were fixed up to the first three. My hand instinctively reached there. It was warm, carried so many scars. But warm. I swallowed, then lifted my eyes. Fabian was lying there, his hand stretched to hold mine, his eyes closed. I felt my heart do a flip, and my eyes lifted to scan the room. It was the familiar room in his resting home, the glass walls wide open
