Alpha Adrian's POV

I'm Adrian, I'm an Alpha of the Crescent Moon pack, our pack is renowned for so many things such as being powerful, vicious, rich, and of course, for us, Quintuplets and we are alphas and that automatically made us powerful in the entire werewolf world.

I'm the eldest followed by, Logan, Dylan, Ethan, and lastly Julian the youngest.

We are all like two peas in a pod but in our case 5 peas in a pod, even though our characters are different we still get along well.

We became crowned as alphas when we turned 18 which was almost 4 decades ago and yet to find our mates.

I don't know why, if is it because we live so long, even though we werewolves need our other half to live, it still takes us ages to find.

When we 1st phrased all we wanted was to find our mate, painstakingly attending all balls and gatherings in the hope of at least getting a whiff of our mate.

We are still confused if we have different mates or single, but as far as I heard multiples only have one mate so I guess it's the same for us.

After searching for decades for our mate and still, with no luck, I kind of let it go, and I'm determined that the moon goddess has forgotten us and it's futile to even try anymore much to my brothers and my wolf's chagrin.

Unlike of me though my brothers are determined to find her and so sure she is just younger than us or not born yet but sure she is somewhere out there waiting for us.

One day while I was working through some pack matters Julian came bursting through the door saying, he thinks he found our mate, and that's all the words we needed to hear to follow him to the human world.

I raised my eyebrow at him in question, as we stood in front of a huge university bursting with students.

There was a huge banner in front with '' Grand Aura Fest'' Written on it.

It's so grand, I can see the work and money people put into it.

''I came here to see my girlfriend around here when I smelt something amazing! '' He said like a kid that found his lost doll.

He is the immature one in us since he is our mommy's favourite, yet he is the one most determined to find our mate.

''Are you f*****g kidding us? You smelt something and brought us here? You do see it's kind of a function right? Of course, there will be lots of food in there!'' Logan sneered, glaring at Julian.

Logan is the short-tempered and strict one knowing pack laws as the back of his hands, he always says he wants our mate to be submissive and chooses his lays with such type.

He is the one who can never tolerate anyone being defiant or irrespective.

While I'm almost the same, I'm not as strict as him, I'm the responsible one the eldest.

Of all of us, he is the one that I'm worried about the most, How will he behave towards our mate if we find her?

''Hey, come on now, let's hear him out'' Ethan said taking Julian's side as always.

Ethan is the playboy in us, I doubt if there is even a wolf in our pack that he didn't have yet.

''Can you describe the smell?'' Dylan asked, he is the best hacker in our pack and a huge bookworm.

''Well, it's so different unlike anything I have felt before, the smell of fresh strawberries and roses'' He said like reliving the moment he smelled it, and From the look of him I can see he is telling the truth.

Only our mate's smell can make us feel like that.

I nod and we go inside to see if we can smell it too.

It's too crowded here with girls piling around us, If it was some other time we would have chosen one of them for the night but now is not the time, so keeping our heads and attention on the mission we searched for any trace of the smell of our mate.

After searching for an hour or so yet still no clue, I felt so disappointed, another dead end.

I felt so irritated and annoyed that I wanted to leave but my wolf wasn't ready, for some reason he was more agitated than I was, telling me to keep searching.

I can feel my brothers are frustrated too but I told them to split and search.

I headed for the auditorium knowing there would be a high chance for more people to be there.

After another half an hour of stressful search among this crowd, I stood out, not because of my age as I know I look like 23 at most, but of my aura which is turning menacing by the second due to my irritation and frustration, .

I kept my poker face on not to scare anyone when I got the link from Julian and Ethan saying ''We found her! Meet you at the parking lot '' Those words alone are enough to stop my breathing.

Julian's POV:

I was searching for our mate and I kept praying to the moon we find her today, and I didn't imagine the smell, of strawberries and roses that's the smell, even though I only got a whiff I can never forget it in my life, I only wish I didn't mislead my brothers.

Cuz being fake is one thing but giving them the hope only for it to be fake is entirely cruel not only for them but to me too.

I was so engulfed in my thoughts combined with my wolf's growls and snarls, he was unusually agitated today, and of all day he chose today to throw his stupid tantrums.

I felt something bump into me, grazing my hand so lightly but the undeniable spark fled throughout my body combined with the smell I had been searching for all along, Strawberries and roses came crashing down at me like a bucket of ice over my head.

We stopped in our tracks and I instantly went rigid in my spot.

I quickly turned around, too eager to see what it was that, smelled this good and made me feel like this.

A girl, so small and looked too delicate, like she may break at any point now, she looked beautiful no doubt, so beautiful enough to take my breath away with, her hair on top in a messy bun with few hairs framing her cute face.

My lips automatically pulled up into a smile as my heart fluttered when ''Mate'' My wolf growled, took him too long, that's right, it's our mate!

She looked like she barely had ever slept with her tired eyes, what was happening with her?

She looked at me with her doe-like eyes and looked into mine like she was being through hell, I looked at her curiously but frowned when I saw her struggle to breathe.

''Are you alright? '' I asked,'' I'm alright'' muttered under her breath before trying to leave.

Not so fast princess, I took her hand in mine to stop her but a series of sparks burst at my touch shocking me.

I looked at her to see if she too felt it, expecting her to look surprised or at least confused but a sheet of terror took over her face as she looked up at me in horror.

My wolf howled in pain at her reaction, what was wrong with her?

I know she is a human by the smell but that does not make sense for her reaction.

I looked at her in confusion when Ethan came from behind ''You found her?'' He asked dumbfounded that we found our mate today.

He didn't read the room when he came and took her hand as she looked back and forth between us in surprise, now, that's the expression I wanted, look at us in shock not like watching a horror movie.

But once again tears welled in her eyes, I wonder how many times it happened in the short time I had seen her.

Ethan looked at her in shock, mirroring my expression as we both looked at her in confusion letting her hand go reluctantly.

What the hell is going on in that head of hers?

She tried to leave but I blocked her, I already had enough of not seeing her for a lifetime, and I'm not going to let her away again.

''I'm sorry for bumping into you, but please move, I have to go'' She finally spoke, and damn, her voice is angelic.

Wait?, ''Is she crying because she thinks we are ganging up on her for bumping into you?'' Ethan asked through our link mirroring my confusion.

''Guess so'' I said.

''Why?, The show is about to start'' I said giving as a comforting smile as I could but all I wanted was to hug her so tight and tell her who we were.

But to my surprise, she flinched at my smile like I just slapped her and that hurt me.

She quickly changed and put on a smile back that we can see the fakeness in it from even miles away.

''No I have to go '' she said and tried to leave and I knew it was no use, I blocked her and she glared at us.

''We have to talk '' Ethan said, knowing too well it was not going anywhere.

We quickly pulled her with us against her will of course but she doesn't know who we are yet and I know once she knows she won't be like this.

At least I hope she won't be scared of us anymore.

She tried to pull her hands from ours but I felt no pressure under her arms like she has no strength at all, like what the hell she eats? Is whoever taking care of her even feeding her at all?

My wolf growled at the thought of our mate being ill-treated.

She kept shivering even though it was burning hot and it was the middle of the summer.

I hugged her from behind, took her to the car and linked our brothers to come.

Within minutes my brothers piled inside and looked at our mate in astonishment and wonder, as I felt smug that I was the one that found her and I was the one sitting close to her.

''So this is her, huh?'' Adrian said his eyes shining in amusement at our mate.

''You look so pale are you alright dear?'' Dylan asked looking at her and that's when I turned to look at her too, if she was pale when I found her that's nowhere near now, she looked as pale as paper with all her blood drained from her face, shivering like a dry leaf.

''I don't know she keeps whimpering like she is in pain and shivering like she is cold'' I said frowning at her fear for us.

''Hey, look at me, are you alright? We can go to the hospital if you are not well'' Ethan said, holding her chin to look at him.

But that only made it worse as her eyes widened even more if that is possible and burst out crying closing her face with her hands.

''Hey, why are you crying? , what did you do to her?'' Adrian tried to hold her wiping her eyes while growling at us.

''How the hell do I know? , She was like that from the moment I saw her!'' Ethan growled back, angry for getting accused of hurting our mate.

She took one look at his face before all hell broke loose, She started shaking violently like she was having seizures before blacking completely leaving us a panic mess.
