“Talk.”

"My mate is Carl, Denise's grandfather.”

"He's dead.”

“I can assure you that he's alive and well.”

"Why do you want to help me?” I asked. I didn’t trust her.

"Because I know what it's like to see your mate with someone else. To have to pretend that everything is fine, I'm doing this for Joy. I heard the stories, she deserves happiness. I know who Denise's mate is she rejected him... Broke his heart because of greediness and plus I want to see your dad suffer!

He raped me, tortured me for years. Kept me away from Carl and forced him to marry someone else then killed her. He used her like he used everyone else just so he could get a laugh he's crazy. He did all that because his mate was killed and he blames Carl for not getting to her sooner. He also wanted to assure that he would always have the throne.

Carl married Denise's grandmother Marian, after they had Darlene Lazarus killed her. Me and Carl raised Darlene, when Lazarus heard that she met her mate and was pregnant he kidnapped her, the deal was that he would give Darlene back after she gave birth to her first daughter but instead he sent Denise to Elliot with a note saying that Darlene was dead. Elliot had no clue about anything and Lazarus pretended to help look for her.

The contract said that we couldn’t tell anyone or we would die. Darlene would be killed and the money he gave Carl's pack would be taken back. Darlene is alive, he has her captive that’s why Carl signed the contract he didn’t want his daughter dead. After they signed and did the blood contract Lazarus pulled out a needle he injected Carl with enough silver to kill five wolves, luckily I was there hiding in the escape tunnel. I got him to the pack doctor just in time.

You, your brothers and your mother were used in case his plan failed. If his plan failed he could just challenge either one of you for the title but he see's how strong you and your brothers are and knows that he wouldn’t win. He went though all of this because he never planned on giving you and Damien the crown but he knew that if he didn’t the elders would step in and he would be killed."

I knew my dad was cruel but this is just sick. I thought that the stories were lies, I guess losing your mate really does make you crazy.

"Go along with the wedding. We will disguise ourselves and when the time is right Carl will break the contract.” She said while smiling.

"Why cant he do it now?” I asked impatiently.

"If he does it now Lazarus will get away, we want him dead. We can trap him in the church. I know he's going to be there because he likes to see people suffer.”

“OK makes sense.” I said after thinking about it.

"Don’t worry hun everything will fall into place.”

“I don’t know how to thank you.”

"Just treat your mate right and be happy.” She stood up to go.

“Robin.”

"Yes?” She turned around.

"Be careful.”

“I always do.” She winked then she disappeared.

I was so happy I couldn’t wipe the smile off of my face. When I got to the castle I told Damien everything he was happier than me.

My wolf has been on edge more than usual.

Whats wrong? I asked.

Damon. He's planning something, his wolf is calling to me. Damon is going to break the bond. She whined.

Not before I do. I’m through with him, if he think that he's going to break our bond to be with that slut he's got another thing coming. I wont let him hurt us again. I said to my wolf before cutting her off.

I flew through the office door Damien and Damon looked up and smiled.

“You! You i***t! If you think that you’re going to hurt me again you’re mistaken.” I yelled.

"What are you talki-”

"You don't have to break the bond.”

"What are you talking about Joy I’m not-” I didn’t let him finish I didn’t want to hear his lies.

"My wolf knows Damon, I Joy Sim-”

"What are you doing?” Damien asked. I ignored him. I knew he was going to talk me out of this.

“I Joy Simpson hereby break the mating bond with Damon Tucker and his wolf.”

I fell to the floor screaming in pain. It felt like my heart was being ripped out, Damon bent over breathing hard.

"Why the f**k did you do that? We told you that we would fix it! I fixed it! I found a way to break the contract.” He yelled.

“What?” I stuttered.

“I found a f*****g way, the contract is void! Just get out! Leave Joy I'm done with you.”

“Damon you don’t mean that.” Damien said shocked.

"Yes I do.. You can leave with her.” He said before shifting and jumping out of the window. Glass flew everywhere, Damien hugged me so that the glass wouldn’t hit me.

"Get off of me! We have to go after him!” I heard a howl and my heart broke more.

"No we need to let him calm down.”

“I- I didn’t know he found something in the contract.”

"He didn’t. Denise's grandfather is alive, I told you that we would fix it but you’re too stubborn to ever listen to anyone now you’ve lost a part of your soul. You better hope that your wolf doesn’t go into depression because my wolf probably won’t be enough to help. I can't do this right now.” He said before slamming the door. Way to screw everything up. I said to myself before crying myself to sleep.
