not a chapter 77, part 1

Casey pov:

I was practically jumping on my toes in happiness that my inner woman’s gut instincts turned out to be true.

I was so happy that our sweet innocent little Aurora turned out be our Alpha Zion’s mate.

I had a hunch before, like from the very beginning, from the moment Zion brought Aurora to our pack out of no where saying that he saved that girl and brought her to our pack to be treated. And the way he so very carefully carried and handled her till he placed her on the bed that night.

Like, what in the freaking fairy tale world was that… .

Zion Xavier, the big bad Alpha saving a girl from a rogue wolf was acceptable to me. But bringing a random girl without even knowing a single detail about her, and endangering the pack's safety… . Well that was a very far cry to be exact…

the strict Alpha Zion Xavier, I have known all these years was not that careless to let a person with some unknown identity into our pack, and more do letting them stay in our pack as a guest, I can’t even imagine that in my worst imagination.

Because, Alpha Zion values his pack members and their safety was his first priority at all times.

But that stupid Alpha of mine had a poker face and cleverly dodged all my indirect questions and practically fooled us like he wanted, keeping us in the dark about him finding his mate, and that mate was Aurora.

Well, he had tried all he wanted.. But my love radar clearly caught on to the secret signal and sky glances he sent in Aurora’s direction.

And with a little bit of instigating the Alpha male wolf within him with that Sam guy and brining out the jealousy devil out turned out to be a fruitful one, as finally Zion confessed that Aurora was his mate.

Finally the big bad Alpha was the one to get the sweet little angel (Aurora) as always described in the fairy tales.

I was so happy that Zion got such a sweet little girl like Aurora as his mate. And Aurora was blessed too as she got Zion as her mate. He would take good care of her, unlike the past people in her life.

As Aurora really deserves the best for her pure and innocent character. Within few weeks in the pack, she has won the hearts of several people.

The one that tops in that list was none other than Zara and my dear mate, Clint.

Even the other guys have started liking her too. But most importantly, the kids in our pack loves her the most and Aurora too adores those kids..

Now I know, why I felt like I have a very deep connection with Aurora from the very beginning. And the reason why the kids in the pack too loves her.

It’s because she is the Luna of the pack. And the kids have a deep connection with the Luna as she was considered the mother of the whole pack.

Now all I have to do was to find out the reason why Aurora could not sense the mate bond with Zion.

And my main mission from now on was to bring these two favorite people of mine together and making them live a happy life that they both deserve.

With that in mind, I went in search of Aurora, my first target at the moment.

“well… . Mission Alpha couple begins now”, I said excitedly to myself and went to Zara's room, where I can have more possibility in finding Aurora.

Aurora Pov:

As usual I got up early and did my morning routine as usual.

The most happiest thing for me in these days were the things I get to enjoy in the night howlers pack.

Like having a hot water to take bath in the morning, cooking foods for the people I like and them eating the foods I cook with so much delight and them praising the taste of the foods from bottom of their hearts.

Zara, and Clint were the ones who were more expressive in their words regarding the taste of the foods. And Clint even gave me a nickname, “food fairy”.

I can already feel that this pack was becoming my new home with these people around me slowly becoming the most important people in my life.

And the most important thing was the job I do in the play school.

Dear moon goddess… this was the first time I was being with the kids and taking care of them. But like inwas afraid, I didn’t messed things up as it was my first time and I even started liking the job.

It’s mainly because of the kids. Those cute little pups were so adorable that I love them from the bottom of my heart.

Their innocent looking face and pure smile makes my day and makes it easier for me to forget my old injures.

After quickly changing my dress, I went to the kitchen to make breakfast for everyone.

“good morning, Mrs. Jimmie”, I greeted her, who was in the kitchen preparing the ingredients needed for making breakfast.

“good morning, dear. How did you sleep? “, Mrs. Jimmie asked me while washing the vegetables.

“it was so good”, I said and then started helping her in sorting the vegetables and began to make breakfast.

I went to the play school after having the breakfast.

The moment I entered the room, all the kids made happy squeal and smiled at me, making something to bloom deep inside me.

I have this sudden urge of overflowing emotions on seeing these lovely kids. They became one of my source of happiness apart from Zara and Casey.

I started playing with them and took care of them.

Soon it became evening and it was time for the parents to come and pick up their kids.

When every kid was picked by the parents, I bid my farewell to my co workers, the other ladies of the pack.

When I was going back to the pack house, all of a sudden, a loud ringing of bell was heard all around the pack, making me stop in my steps.

Only after a few minutes, I realized that it was the warning bell of the pack that Casey told me about on the other day.

'So the pack was under an attack right now’, I thought internally.

In my anxious state, I failed to act fast and the moment I turned back to go to the play school for shelter, as the pack house was a little far away from it, I saw a scene that made my blood turn cold.

I saw a rogue running towards a direction and more particularly, it’s target was a little kid.

When I took a second glance, I quickly realized that the kid was Jimmy, one of the kids I take care of in the play school.

Without wasting time, I ran towards the kid.

I don’t know what I was doing or what I am going to do.

All I felt was an urge or a strong emotion that burst within me, making me wanting to save that kid. I wanted to protect that kid at all costs.

So without thinking twice, I ran as fast as I can and on the way I picked up a solid rock like stone.

Just when the rogue wolf reached the kid and just a little feet away from the kid, I threw the rock I picked up on the rogue.

The rock squarely hit the face of thr rogue wolf, making it to lose its balance and topple over and roll on the other side.

Taking it as my shot, I quickly picked up the crying kid and ran as fast as I can towards the school building in front of me.

But to my bad luck, the rogue wolf ran faster than me and block my path leading to the play school.

I skidded in my steps to stop running and hugged the kid to me very firmly.

The rogue wolf growled and snapped it’s teeth in front of me, making me scared out of my wits.

Not knowing what to, I prayed to the moon goddess that some one should come and save us.

I backed away slowly but I knew for sure that I can’t out run the rogue wolf in front of me.

The moment I finished praying, the rogue wolf jumped towards us, making both the little boy and me to scream in terror.

I quickly hugged the little boy tightly and turned my back towards the rogue wolf fully determined that I should never allow the little boy to be hurt by the rogue wolf.

I sat down on the floor and covered the little boy's body with mine, so that he was safe.

Hearing the growling sound of the rogue wolf, I started trembling violently.

‘please save us, dear moon goddess’, I yelled in my heart, while hiding the little boy using my body as a cover.
