Royal Fall

732 Words
So soft... So warm...  I never knew that death will be this comfortable. The nice and soothing smell of roses. The soft and comforting mattress. I never had a rest as comfortable as this. I smiled, my eyes still shut. This must be heaven. If only I knew that death will be this great, I will never choose to struggle to live.   "Your Majesty!"  I tried to open my eyes but it was too bright. That must've been the light I that I shall follow and the voice must be the angel!  "Your Majesty"  The light instantly faded and my eyes were now wide open. The first thing I saw was a ginormous chandelier hanging in the middle of the white ceiling. I raised my hand to shield my eyes from the light coming in from the big windows. W-wait? I'm not dead?  I hastily seated then touched my whole body. I am alive! And in one piece! Something that I don't expect falling down from a 100-story building! This is can't be real! I wander my eyes around the place. I'm in the middle of a California King size bed in the heart of a ginormous room with high ceiling, marbled floor, and golden furniture.  I looked at the woman wearing a an old fashioned dress. Her gaze was low and her hands were on top of her tummy. "Uhmm, excuse me miss, where am I?" I politely asked her. She lift her head and look at me , confusion is written all over her face.  "Your Majesty, we are here in Elafria, your kingdom. Can you not remember?" she politely said. Elafria? Haven't heard of that place. Is that on Europe? Asia?  But wait, did I heard it right majesty? kingdom? "Huh?" I asked totally lost of what she had said. She look at me, very worried.  "The fall must be so bad" she whispered all of a sudden. "Maria! Call the High Priestess! Hurry!" she shouted. She tried to touch me but I immediately back away until I reached the end of the bed.  "Ahhh/Your Majesty!" we both exclaimed in unison. I closed my eyes anticipating the impact of the fall but it never came so I opened my eyes and found that I am floating, a few centimeters away from the floor. " Your Majesty! Are you not hurt?" said a child's voice. I looked around searching where the voice came from. Strange, there's just two of us in the room, no signs of a kid. "Your majesty?" the kid's voice again, and it's seems like it's coming from above. I confusedly look up and immediately froze in shock. A ghost! There's a ghost! She has a long white hair, fair skin and even her pupils are white! She has long ears and she's wearing a white gown with gold accents, she's also carrying a long gold staff and more importantly, She's floating! I feel all the blood drained from my face as I pointed my trembling finger at her. My mouth was open but I can't even utter a single word nor a scream because of so much shock, that I felt my throat dried down. The floating girl protruded her red lips and tilted her head a bit. I can't help but think that she's so CUTE! Like, how can a ghost be so cute? "Why do you look so scared your majesty?" she asked cutely. Her voice so mellow, as if she's singing a lullaby. She stared at me for a long time, until all of a sudden her aura changed. "Minerva, you leave us for now" she looked at the other girl who's standing near the door. The girl Minerva, bowed a little and quietly went out of the room.  The girl looked directly in to my eyes and the suddenly her white eyes turned red and light surrounded her whole body. Gentleness, left her face, she looked so dangerous that I started backing away until my back hit a wall.  A ball of light suddenly appeared in the palm of her hand and she's directing it to me. I can't help but close my eyes in so much fear. Just how many times do I have to face death? "Tell me..." her voice resonated around the place. "Who are you? and where is our princess" P-princess? Just what in the world is happening?
