"G..grave?" Valentino whispered when Alvarez started walking towards it with their tangled hands.

Valentino was scared of the location but the moment they stopped in front of the tomb and her eyes fell on the name board, her eyes went wide in surprise.

Liam Rossi? Her father's tomb?

Her eyes instantly went moist when she heard Alvarez gently say, "I am sorry, Alpha Liam. I am sorry for not coming to see you before, I am sorry for not being able to protect you but I promise to you today, I will protect Valentino with my all.

She is not my responsibility but a part of myself, I will try my best to take of you just like how you always did. I hope you'll trust me with me, I'll not disappoint you." With that, he gave a small nod while a drop of tear slipped out of her eyes after hearing him when Alvarez also turned towards her.

"H..how?" Valentino wanted to ask how and who buried her father as she couldn't even collect his body from the pack.

"I collected his body last night and buried it in this place, I thought he would love to be among the flowers and you also can visit him here anytime," Alvarez said.

Tears started rolling down through her eyes like a broken dam after hearing him because never have imagined that he'd do it for her! A stranger!

"Talk to him, I'm sure you want to do it." Saying it, he left her hand and took two steps back for her to take her own time.

Valentino also slowly turned back towards the tomb before sitting in front of it, or more like her legs gave up by thinking how her father was now buried under this soil when he was supposed to stand with her, smile her at and give his shoulder to her!

"D..dad, how're you feeling today? Is it very cold there? Dad..I am so sorry, I am trying my best to stand tall and stay strong but I...I can't Dad. I need you, I need you so bad that I don't feel like living any longer." Saying it, she finally started sobbing and crying with her hands over the tomb, caressing it.

Alvarez remained in his place but his eyes were just locked on her as he felt his heart winching after hearing her painful sobs.

Not only the heart of Valentino but also the wind was so strong that suddenly the sky started pouring mercilessly but none of them moved.

Valentino kept crying out her pain with the rainwater dripping over her entire body when Alvarez also didn't move Ince, remained in his place.

Like this almost over a half hour passed when finally Valentino stopped sobbing as her eyes also turned dry but her heart wasn't free of pain and guilt.

"King Alvarez, can I ask you something?" Suddenly Valentino asked with her blank eyes locked at the tomb.

Alvarez said, "Say."

"Why did you trust my words? When those people who were with me for years, who pampered me like a princess and claimed it love me didn't trust me that I..." Her voice cracked as she was trying to not cry again, before she continued, "I didn't kill my father then why did you trust me? Why did you trust my words?"

Alvarez walked near her and gently sat to her when she also turned towards him and her red puffy eyes fell on him.

He gently kept his hand over her head and said, "Because your eyes spoke with me that day. That day your eyes not only had the fire of revenge but it contained pain that only a close one can give.

Ms. Rossi, I don't trust words, I trust eyes. Your eyes are enough for me to trust you over anyone." Alvarez said when Valentino's tears kept flowing down heavily because his words were like an ointment to her bleeding heart.

Seeing her crying again, Alvarez kept her head in his chest with his hand behind her head before placing his chin on the top of her, "Don't cry, everything will be alright. Now we'll make sure your father and you get justice.

I am with you, you're no longer alone." He said as his heart heart ached for her. He knew she was in pain and since yesterday she has been suppressing everything inside her to act strong her her eyes always tell him the truth.

While Valentino held his shirt and kept crying when Alvarez closed his eyes, more like preparing himself to give them the deadliest pain for hurting his woman. He will make sure to burn them alive for hurting her like this but for now, he couldn't take away her pain

Valentino finally calmed down and after promising her father to visit him again, she left with Alvarez who didn't leave her side even for a minute.

"Stop the car near any shop," Alvarez ordered his driver when Valentino was again staring out of the window blankly with her shivering body because she stayed under the rain for over an hour!

Seeing her shivering body, Alvarez snapped at his driver, "Drive fast!"

His driver jerked up, "Y..yes, King."

With that, he immediately stopped the car in front of a shop when Alvarez went out leaving Valentino inside the car.

Even though she didn't turn towards him for once during the entire time but she was hearing him clearly and somewhere she knew he was staring at her the whole time and he even went out to get something for her.

She finally slowly turned towards his side with a gentle experience on her face because his silent presence had already started making her feel warm.

'I think I also need fresh air.' Thinking about it, Valentino came out of that car as she loved the air after the rain.

Leaning against the car, she started enjoying the sweet yet cold breeze and looking towards the shop when Alvarez came out and saw her, his eyebrows squinted as the wind was still pretty cold and she was already wearing wet clothes.

He was on the other side of the road when Valentino noticed him carrying blankets and a bottle of water in his hands.

Staring at her, Alvarez started walking towards her without looking around when unknown to him, a speeding car was approaching towards him when it caught Valentino's eyes as his back was facing that car.

Her face immediately froze seeing the car speeding and just coming towards his side.

"Alvarez, stop! Step back." She shouted when Alvarez immediately stopped as he couldn't understand anything while the car was coming at the greatest speed.

Valentino gulped hard and out of shock, nothing was coming out of her mouth but she immediately ran towards him, leaving Alvarez surprised as he followed her eyes and looked back but by then it was too late as he heard Valentino shouting his name from behind him but before he could process her words.....

"ALVAREZ!!"

CRASH*

That's it, a loud noise made everyone on the road stop in horror while that car drove away and stopped after a good distance before looking at the scene behind with the mirror and smirking, "So easy."
