Why do you want to marry me?" The sudden question of Valentino made Alvarez smile while Valentino's eyes were just locked at him.

Even though she's strong but he is the Lycan, the Alpha of the Alpha's so he should have taken any warrior she-wolf as his Luna to match up with his throne but why did he prefer her?

"Because I am indebted to your father," Alvarez said while staring at her when Valentino was surprised as she never heard his name from her father's mouth then how come he was indebted to him?

"Once he saved me in a battle with the Rogues." Alvarez said breaking the bubble of her thoughts when Valentino turned silent because her father could save him, he wasn't afraid of anything but she made him lose his life for her.

If only she knew the real faces of the two people she trusted the most then her father would have been beside her, smiling at her, holding her hand.

Thinking about her father, a lonely drop of tear slipped through her eyes but Valentino wiped it when she heard Alvarez whispering, "If you want to avenge your father's death, then instead of crying and cursing yourself, make yourself prepared for the battle with them."

Valentino slowly looked at him and noticed his steel grey eyes were just locked on her and he was staring at her so intensively as if he was staring through her body!

While Alvarez suddenly tangled their hands before he started walking back with Valentino as she was too surprised to say anything because how could he just hold her hand?!

"Instead of thinking why I didn't come in your life before, you should return home and think about our marriage." Alvarez said when Valentino scoffed and pulled back her hand from his hold, "In your dreams! The marriage is just like a contract and it will be just for a couple of months so there's no need to think about it.

As for your child...I still need to think about it because a child with you means leaving a part of me with you and I can't do it."

Alvarez smiled and said, "We'll talk about it after reaching home."

Valentino scoffed and turned away her face from him while wondering, WHAT THE HELL IS SHE DOING!!

AT HOME

Alvarez entered his house when Valentino was behind, hesitating as she never knew one day she had to enter this house with the intention of marrying him.

Seeing her stopping behind him, Alvarez turned and said, "Are you waiting for me to carry you inside?"

Valentino instantly turned red just by imagining that before she rolled her eyes at him and walked ahead, "In your dreams!"

"I guess you love that word," Alvarez said and smirked before walking behind her as if it were her house.

"Guess what? I think now I really love that word." Saying it she walked inside when a sudden roar made her stop in her tracks.

"Who are you?"

Hearing the voice coming from ahead, Valentino looked ahead and noticed two very familiar faces in front of her as she instantly took a step behind but the next moment she felt a hand sneaking around her waist.

"My soon-to-be Luna, and the Queen of our pack, Mom," Alvarez said in a firm tone when Valentino immediately glared at him for speaking so bluntly in front of his parents! The former Alpha and Luna.

Hearing her tone, Cassandra's eyes went wide in shock, "What? What nonsense are you spouting, Alvarez!"

"May I ask what are you two doing here?" Alvarez asked coldly when the next moment Cassandra snapped at him, "Alvarez, we are your parents and do you think we need permission to visit you!"

"Yes, you need just like I always needed permission or an appointment to see you, Mom," Alvarez said, leaving Cassandra awestruck and speechless by the tone and words of her son. While Valentino was busy thinking about what to do. She felt like an unnecessary figure in the middle of this mother-son deadly duo and she wanted to leave but Alvarez's hold was pretty tight.

"Cassandra, calm down. We can talk calmly later." Quin immediately stops his wife because Alvarez says something else and their fight Ignites. Quin slowly turned towards Valentino and asked, "My child, what is your name?"

Valentino was pretty surprised after seeing the former Alpha talking so sweetly with her when the Luna was casting cold glazes toward her.

Valentino softly smiled and said, "I am Valentino Rossi, nice to meet you."

"Valentino Rossi? Daughter of Rossi family?" Quin immediately asked when Valentino nodded her head as she knew almost everyone would know her because her pack is also one of the giant packs and her father has been one of the best Alpha King.

Quin immediately turned towards his son with a meaningful smile when Alvarez ignored it and said, "We've decided to marry soon as our pack also needs a Luna and I'm tired of the continuous naggings of that council. I think the next week is better."

"Alvarez, have you gone crazy? You're not any ordinary Alpha King but a Lycan King! You can choose a random girl to marry! Who is she? Is she even qualified to be your Luna?" Cassandra felt anger rushing through her body just by thinking how her son was thinking about marrying this no-name woman!

Valentino remained silent while wondering she clearly heard right about this Lycan Luna and everyone always calls her as an evil Luna who is more busy with her high society functions instead of looking after her pack.

"Mom, I don't think you have to think about it. I am the King, I will only choose my Queen and if anyone has any problem then they'll talk to me so you can leave now, I can't see you off." Saying it, suddenly Alvarez started working with his hand still wrapped around her waist while Valentino also had to walk with him but she managed to nod her head in front of Cassandra and Quin as a goodbye while Quin also smiled at her when Cassandra moved away her eyes.

Alvarez directly brought her inside his bedroom when Valentino shouted at her, "What do you think you're doing? Even though we're marrying because of our own reasons but don't you think you should tell your parents the truth!"

"I've told them the truth, we will get married and it's the truth." Alvarez said while ignoring her as he walked near the washroom as he was about to enter when Valentino said from behind, "I know I'm not at a place to talk about your family but at least try to love your mother as long as you got her because once you'll lose her, you'll realize what a pair of warm means to hold in the cold days.

I know it's hard for her to accept me, even you know it so don't act cold to her to stand with me because I don't need your attention but she does." Valentino said firmly as she's already habituated to getting ignored and living alone so it's better for Alvarez to maintain his relationship with his mother rather than being with her.

Hearing her, Alvarez slowly turned towards her and said, "I am not like your Ex-mate, I know how to protect my woman and you'll get that protection from me so get habituated to that.

Tomorrow you need to visit someone with me, so think about that.”
