LEXI
Someone tell me this is all a dream. I can’t take this. I don’t want to believe this. This knucklehead is going to be my boss? How?
I have seen how rude and arrogant he is. He is an asshole who is so full of himself and I hate him.
I hate everything about him. Apart from his angelic face because he is so f*****g hot. I hate that smirk that is forming on his face. It’s not an adorable one. It’s an evil one. Looks like he is enjoying this.
He has talked about reconsidering. He wasn’t to close this deal. Now he wants to because he has seen me.
“The CEO?” I can’t hide my surprise and this dickhead is enjoying it.
“Yes dear. Told you I’m selling eighty percent. Just papers and we will finalize the deal.
“Yeah, have them sent to my office. I will go through them and sign.” He says his eyes still fixated on mine.
“Congrats Mr….? What do we call you?” my tone is sarcastic. He knows that because he gives me one glare and then smirks.
“Mr. Clayton.”
“All the best sir.” I try to hide the sarcasm in my voice but it’s so evident. “I’m stepping out for lunch Mr. Patterson. Should I bring you anything?” I give him a smile.
“No dear. Your old man is okay.”
“Okay. See you around.” I start walking away.
“Will see you later Mr. Patterson. I have to leave but do the necessary!”
That asshole!
I hear footsteps behind me and shut my eyes with irritation. I punch the elevator button and look away, feeling his gaze all over my body. It’s so unsettling.
“So you are a model here?” it’s more of a surprised remark. The elevator bell dings and the doors slide open letting us in. I punch the ground floor button and lean against the wall, looking at my feet. I just want to ignore him.
“You know something?” he asks approaching me. He stops inches away from me and takes my chin in his fingers tipping my head back, so that I’m staring directly into his eyes.
Those eyes!
Damn!
Those lips!
Am I f*****g crazy? How can such a handsome man be all the negative things in the world.
Oh yeah! Trust me when I say he is one hell of an asshat.
I struggle to look away as my breath is sucked out of me. I gulp loudly and start counting his eyelashes, which by the way, are perfectly outlined. Can you blame me?
No.
My boss-to-be is just a god. Isn’t it a sin to be this good-looking?
“I asked you a question.”
“I don’t want to talk to you.”
“I believe as your boss, you might want to answer my f*****g questions, no matter how stupid they are!” He snaps.
“You are not my boss. You haven’t signed any papers yet and you never know what might happen.”
He lets my chin go and lets out a laugh. An angry one.
“I will do anything to close that deal Lexi, or whatever they call you here so better start practicing that now because with this attitude, it will be one hell of a tough journey for you.”
“You know you are so f****d up. Is this about the day you splashed a pool of water on me? Because if there is someone who deserves to be mad, it’s me.”
“Yeah, I’m a p*****t and a sadist. I thrive in making stubborn and abusive women like you miserable. You came at a perfect time. I had run out of options.” He smirks and walks away from me, punching some button. The elevator stops on the first floor and he walks towards me again, a wicked smile forming on his lips.
“You don’t scare me.”
“You should be scared. I don’t mess around.”
“Okay.” I glare at him.
“How about I make a proposition?” he asks crossing his arms around his chest.
“Not interested!” I snap.
“I like them feisty and abusive. Stubborn is my thing too. You have no idea how turned on I’m right now.” He looks me up and down. “You just have no idea.” He whispers.
“Still not interested.” I glower at him.
“I will still tell you my proposition.” He smiles and moves to the wall. He props his right foot against it and gives me a long look making me more uncomfortable than I was before.
“I proposed something to you at the event. Just sleep with me. Be my call girl and I will make your life here so much fun.”
“You are such a dickhead! I'm never going to be your hoe.”
“That’s not being my hoe. It’s something different.”
“How is it different?”
“You will only sleep with me. Sleep with someone else and I will hunt them down and hurt them.”
“You are so f****d up!”
“Yeah, fifty shades of f****d up Chuck!” he lets out a chuckle. “That’s my nature sweetheart. Just say yes and I will give you anything you want. I might even buy this company and give it to you.”
“You are…” I realize I have no words for him and stop mid-sentence.
“I’m what? Powerful? Because I’m f*****g powerful. Ambitious? That’s Chuck for you. When I want something, I get it. I want your body Lexi, and your body,” he pauses. “I think I should use the ghetto language. “Imma get it soon.”
“Urgh! So irritating.” I punch a button on the elevator and it starts going down again.
This guy is so irritating and I hate him with all my heart.
“Just think about it.” He says as the bell dings and the elevator glides to a stop.
“It’s never going to happen!” I snap and walk out fast when the doors slide open.
“Do you wanna bet on that?” he asks trailing behind me. “Because I can easily make that happen. It’s my area of specialization.” He brags making me stop to look at him.
Not looking at him. It’s more of a glare. A smile forms on my lips, a sarcastic one as he gives me a lopsided smile and looks around. I hate the attention we are getting. Everyone is looking at us and it’s uncomfortable as it is. I decide to ignore them and put my point across.
“I think we can bet on that because I’m never sleeping with an asshole like you. Not even if there was some sort of a spell that swept away all the men leaving you alone. In short, not even if you were the last man on earth. You are not my type. I like my men with a little extra sauce and charming but you clearly lack that. Stop dreaming.” I grin back at him. Don’t know why he is grinning anyway.
“Because this,” I point between us. “Is never going to happen.”
“Okay.” He shrugs with a smug. “The bet is on. Will think of something appropriate for that bet and let you know. In the meantime, keep rocking baby.” He turns to walk away but stops. He make a step towards me and looks me up and down.
“Something else, you are not my type too so don’t get ahead of yourself.” He says and walks away. When I turn, Daniella’s eyes are widened at me.
