Chapter 4 Several hours later, we finally hit a lull in the conversation. I was still chuckling sporadically from Michelle's story about a misunderstanding between her and a pair of out-of-town customers at the restaurant. In fact, my whole body felt warm and bubbly from all the laughing we'd done together. Jessica picked up her mug of beer to take a sip but found it empty. She frowned at the bottom of the glass, then looked over at the empty chair beside her. "How long ago did Loke get up to get the next round?" she asked. "Yeah, when was that?" Andrew asked, glancing at his phone. "It must've been an hour. Did he get hung up somewhere?" I looked around the room, but there was no sign of him. "I want another as well," Michelle said. "Let's go together, Jess. We'll see if we can find
