I slept so well last night that I almost didn’t want to get up this morning. I guess spending the evening carefree with my mate completely cleared my mind. I could stand to sleep more, but I have training to run.
I leave my room and head to my kitchenette to get some coffee. One half of the floor and the Gamma is housed on the other half. These are like apartments; they have living rooms, kitchenettes, and bedrooms. When I take over as Beta, I will have this space to myself. My parents will be moving out and have been having their house built.
Voices outside my door stop me from getting my coffee. It’s really too early for disagreements between people, so I wonder what that’s about. I turn and walk closer to the door, focusing on the conversation. “Maybe you should be the one
